Kevin Moran and Gary Bailey used to drink in The Friendship pub in Fallowfield in the early 80's.
Both seemed decent blokes and were generally left alone. No Blues gave them stick as they just kept themselves to themselves.
Most MUFC (and a few City) players went to the nearby Sandpiper Hotel lounge, but they sat with other local celebrities e.g. Alex Higgins.
A mate did some work for Juan Mata - said he was a gentleman...

Says a very fast mass and very quick at dispensing the communion

When he was at school he was captain of Hollins High school Middleton.
I was captain of St Joseph's Heywood.
We'd shake hands at the start of the game and then we'd normally beat them by 4 or 5 clear goals.
Just for this alone I didn't mind him when he was playing for the rags
