To be fair I hate all United players when they're are wearing the United shirt, however if you watch behind the scenes stuff they're are mostly quite likable. Again all the England United players I hate but like them when playing for England.

Mrs Vienna went to school with Denis Violet's daughter and met him many times when invited to the house.

She says he was likeable, but quiet. She also saw (Sir) Geoff Hurst, who was good friends with Violet, amongst others.

In the early seventies, when I was a kid, we lived on the same street as Bobby Charlton and Nobby Stiles. Charlton was fairly polite but kept himself to himself, which is perfectly legitimate IMO. Stiles was regarded by pretty well everyone, not just the Reds in that neighbourhood, as a very likeable bloke.
