Which is the best league in Europe?

I have experience of watching la liga due to family having ST's at Malaga CF for many years now and one thing I'd introduce into the English game is a winter break.
This would benefit us alot and help us compete in European competitions.

As for a spectacle our top flight league wins hands down no doubt... But this is its downfall as it's so demanding the teams struggle to play in Europe as they are knackered from the domestic game.
Nothing beats the winter football period.

Reason we struggle in europe is the likes of Madrid and Barce are much better

I'm sorry but the last part of your paragraph is a common misconception. Rat face and Phil Neville both said that the lower teams in Spain are more intense than their english counterparts. The grounds in spain are dead because of the political and economic crisis. No-one can afford to go to matches anymore over there
You sure they weren't just making excuses for their shite results in charge of Valencia?

That wouldn't be the chuckle brothers defending their atrocious record in Spain would it?

Teams like Leganes, Eibar, Alaves & Osasuna spend absolute peanuts in fees and wages compared to lower average Championship clubs here.
The squads are full of young loanees and older senior pros. The intensity isn't there in the stands of on the field.

The results back the lack of intensity up. How many 6,7,8-0's do we get in the Prem?

Slaven Bilic made some great points.

Countless top managers have warned Guardiola and Klopp before him of how hard this league is. Countless top managers have confressed they had no idea how intense the league is.

Germany & Spain don't play a festive period, that coupled with limited squads means what the chuckles are saying is bollocks.
Teams like Burnley, Middlesboro et al could cherry pick players from the bottom half of both the Bundesliga & La Liga.
I doubt Eibar will be bidding £30 for Benteke anytime soon.

The best? The best is Spain. Not only is the best teams there better than those in the PL, Seria A P, Bundesliga etc., but the sub top (Sevilla, Villarreal etc) are very good too. Villarreal narrowly lost 0-1 at Camp Nou last season while drawing 2-2 at their own ground. Same with Sevilla against "the big three". They may not get the same amount of points against other opponents hence why the finish below Barcelona, Atletico and Real Madrid. But make no mistake, they are very good teams. Their success in Europa just accentuates that.
Hell, even Deportivo took points at Camp Nou, while Celta beat Barca 4-1 at home not too long ago. 4-1. Celta are in that sub top, but Deportivo are nothing special. Real Sociedad constantly beat or draw Barca at home. There are plenty of those results, also involving Real and Atletico. The latter lost points against Alavés and Leganés in this season. Yes, the CL finalists drew against two newly promoted teams. Top top league with plenty of competition despite the occasional battering by Barca and Real. You could be sure they'd do that if they played in other leagues too. That's just a consequence of their ridiculous talent. When you've got Messi, Neymar and Suárez and they all feel it, there's nothing you can do.
And before someone mentions "but it's only been a two horse race, maybe three now". Look at the PL winners from the last 10 years or so. How much difference is there? Not a thing - bar Leicester of course. Leicester winning has more to do with the incompetence of the top teams last season. They wouldn't even have finished top 3 in Spain despite having played some good football.

Premier League is the best because the gulf between the top teams and the rest isn't huge, like it is in Spain, Germany(Bayern take their closest rivals best players with ease) or France(Monaco 1 mad season aside, PSG are the only team with money).

The gap between the premier leagues best teams and the rest of the league is closing, whilst the gap between the best teams and the rest in the other aforementioned leagues is increasing. 24 points the gap between 3rd and 4th in La Liga. 31 points the difference between PSG and 2nd. Bayern more or less win the league with like 5/6 games to spare every season, take their foot off the gas, then improve their team whilst weakening those around them and it'll take something special to usurp them.

In my personal opinion, top to bottom, the Premier League is the most competitive; however, I think Spain has made it clear in the CL and EL that they probably have the best top talent.

I raise this question because I read an article in the Guardian from Paul Scholes, and I also wanted to point out that he essentially said said Sergio Aguero, David Silva, and Kevin De Bruyne were the best players in the league.

"There needs to be a real step up in quality in England. Other than Sergio Agüero, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva, we don’t have the best players. All the best players are in other countries."

Thoughts?

Difficult to answer than one without a criteria as to how "best" is being measured.

Competitiveness - PL without a doubt
Financial Attraction - Ditto
Technical abilities - poss Spain

etc etc
