Which of our current squad do/would we miss most ?

Great thread.
Kompany and aguero are prone to injury and we've won a lot of games without them.we were awful without fernandinho earlier in the season
How do you replace zabba in the form he's in??
We beat utd 4-1 without silva!!
Personally I'd go for yaya.looks lazy at times to the naked eye but fuck me the guy is an all time city legend as is the rest of the list, only seems to win games on his own/score goals when we desperately them .
Yaya for me.legend.

This season we have missed kompany, aguero and silva and continued

Once without Fernandinho we lost a big game

Fair point Mayo but don't forget in that same game we also missed Garcia as his replacement and so had to use DMD who was a fish out of water. We also missed Aguero for that game so the jury is out really.

I think that if we have a full team and everyone fit and firing, Aguero is the icing on the cake. His work-rate up front and his finishing are sublime.

Then again, I don't know. The question is unanswerable.

I suppose the answer is that they are all irreplaceable. They are like a chain, only as strong as its weakest link. If any of them go missing, we don't really have in-depth back-up.

Its a thought provoking question for sure, all have missed games, and in those games they've all been missed.

I picked my order carefully, with thought on what the team as a whole misses.

Fernandhino is for me the one who we miss most, because he can get us playing with whoever else is missing, he links well with all the forward players, and yaya, allowing him to play, and yet he defends the defence so well, so we can even just about cope with Vinny missing.

Kompany though does lead us so well, he makes mistakes, and has cost us the odd goal, but he drives us forward with that leadership, we have no adequate replacement at this time for either his defending, or his leadership.

Silva makes us tick going forward, and can create a goal in the tightest of games, he's been brilliant the last few weeks, but even on a quiet day he can win us a game, but Nasri can and does fill in, when we miss Silva.

We are so fortunate to have such a wealth of players right now, and I didn't include Nasri in the list or any of the other forwards either, as we can cope without them, but they're still quality players.

We also have some key backup players some who were much maligned, but have done decent jobs this season.

Yaya, when a game is going nowhere he pops up. If he is allowed to go forward he scares the hell out of the opposition. For such a big powerful player he plays some lovely 1 touch football & scores some great goals. When Kompany was out I thought they may have used him as makeshift in that department. He has played there before, a very versatile player. But he is not the only one just pips it for me.

I'm thinking maybe YAYA as we haven't yet had a period without him yet and I dread that happening

African Nations Cup. And we definitely felt the pain. Unfortunately I think that happens again next year?

Hart. Pants is a great number 2 but there are certain games where an all round classic goalkeeper is needed and Pants isn't to me that type.

Milner. Of all the players in the team, I find Milner the jack of all trades that we need. Great cover for several positions when the team runs thin. Lucky we have depth in the squad. Milner has also been resistant to injuries like Pab Zab. I dont expect him to start every game but him on the bench always puts me at ease as he can see out games.

Got to be zaba based on the fact we don't have a replacement adequate enough to do a job while he's out

But I think their all vital to is in different ways as someone else pointed out
