Which past City player would have prospered most under Pep

One that's almost a sliding doors moment had he come earlier than he did is Kieron Trippier. Absolutely convinced he'd have spotted the potential and not let him leave.
I very much doubt it. We had Zabaleta and Richards when Trippier left. All that Pep would have done is made Zab first choice and try to educate Richards on how to play football. At the time, Richards was far more powerful and explosive.

I hear what you say, but of Richards and Trippier, only one of them has gone on to a good career subsequently really. It's guesswork I suppose.

It's amazing to think Micah Richards was ahead of Zabba for a time. Just shows what a player Zabba was really, how he rose to the challenge and surpassed Richards. On Trippier, he was way down the pecking order and it would've been a tall order to get past Micah who was only a couple of years older, and Zabba. Considering he was 22 when he moved to Burnley, in 2012, it was a good move for him as they were a Championship Team. It's testament to him that he's worked his way into this Spurs team but realistically, he was never going to force his way into the title winning City side post 2012 and still wouldn't now.
