I think the fans owe a debt to Paul Power after all that merciless booing he was subjected to in the eighties. The more he tried, the more mistakes he made and you could see the abuse hurt him but he was one of the most loyal players we have ever had.

Dickov - When he put the ball in the back of the net in '99, he made himself a ledgend at this club.

The Goat - Well... Making a fool out of that sewer rat Neville in the Derby... Pure Ledgend. Fact.

Trautmann - For the Cup final neck break. Unbelievable.

Barton - People are obviously going to disagree, but he carried us for 4 seasons and I believe he kept us in the league at some stages.

If u could bring someone back into the fold as thanks for services rendered who would it be?
Even to just bring them back as a one off for us to thank again.

For me it has to be

Kinkladze.our loyal shining light in our darkest times.

Is this the same Kinkladze who sometimes could not be arsed when were in Div 1 and as soon as relegated who wanted out for a big money move. Yes he had loads of talent and was a joy to watch when he wanted to do it. When our backs were against the wall he was sometimes seem wanted.

No its the Kinkladze who turned down some of Europes top clubs, including the rags(who offered us Scholes) to stay because he genuinely loved us.

Its the Kinkladze who had the legs kicked off him week in week out which ultimately ruined his career.

Had he made a move to the rags,Barca or AC Milan at the time he'd have been the messi of the day.He stayed out of loyalty.fact.

When he finally left us for Ajax it was because the club needed the cash.

Never the same player.

So you are saying Dickov and Goater are ends of ledges?

Truley awful - and note how Robinho's is a special reduced price ha ha ha

For me, Andy Morrison and Terry Cooke were the final pieces that lit up the 98 / 99 season and along with Weaver / Goat / Horlock etc get my vote. Even Jeff Whitley!
