Who’s gone in the summer?

It's unnecessary, Cancelo is perfect at lb and the best in the world there so why should he play on the right side? He has a good place there on the left!

Perfect ? Far from perfect,he came as a RB and IS a RB,square pegs round hole syndrome exactly what happens with Zinchenko

Sorry I wasn't clear, I wouldn't bring either back, I would just keep Carson for the foreseeable.

Is he going to be noticeably worse at 40 than he is now at 36? Chelsea registered Cech as their emergency GK in 2020 despite him literally being a coach and that's how we should do it.

If Carson is a good presence around the club, and helps the other keepers then just keep him going until he literally can't play. Chances are he never will.
Agree. I know he looks a bit weathered but I don't get the whole Carson is ancient thing. He's no spring chicken but for a keeper he's not pensionable age. Foster's played over half a season for Watford and he's at least 3 years older.

I find the left back options interesting considering there's such a lack of top quality left backs in world football right now- even players often considered around the world class bracket like Alphonso Davies are defensive liabilities so its hard to say where we would even look to get someone, especially for our system. I think DM cover should be a higher priority personally

AC Milan interested now in Mahrez

I think Mahrez has no intention of leaving City. But, it we hypothetically assume he leaves somehow, it would be only one of two destinations: 1) PSG, the city of his birth, or 2) Real Madrid where he joins Benzema and M'bappe who are both French of Algerian descent, just like him.

Righto...
I'm fairly certain they wont all leave too.

But Mendy and Dinho are definite, looking increasingly like Gabby too,as for the others, all im saying is..... i wouldn't lose any sleep as all can be bettered.

A mixture of incomings and Academy promotion would be perfect,i definitely believe its an optimum moment and ideal opportunity.

If i was to take a guess

Mahrez - if a good offer comes in since he's got a year left and his age. Also there's alot of clubs interested one of them is going to make an offer

Jesus - It's a world cup year I think he will go if we can't promise him constant starts or at least more playing time.

Laporte - If one of the Spanish clubs come in for him I think he goes. Barca are after a CB also they are not as broke this summer.

Fernandinho - gone

Also Torres has gone already.

I think people would very much regret wishing for Mahrez to leave. Massively underrated, great in the Champions League, selfish but exactly what this side needs sometimes. If you lack someone with the balls to go for it themselves it’s just tap tap tap tap tap. Sometimes it doesn’t come off, but sometimes it does and that wins you points

For those advocating wholesale change, it needs to be remembered that players often take an entire season to adapt to Guardiola’s system, let alone acclimatise to the British conditions and game, so it’s difficult to see more than 1-2 leaving. After all, two arrivals would only compensate for the loss of Mendy and Torres, in terms of pure numbers, so if two more left, we’d be needing around 4 players just to get us back to full strength, and as I say that means too many adjusting at the same time. There’s also little coming through from the academy to act as a bridge; Palmer is now six months behind in his development and the others are further behind still.
