In defense, you get rid of Stones and Otamendi to bring in a starter and a youngster who is ready to be part of senior team. Sell Zinchenko and replace him with a new starter.
Offer Sane to be among highest paid in the club. If he doesn't take it, fine, but need to at least offer that. Seeing a lot of selling Jesus rumors, but I would rather have him than Sterling. Move Bernardo to the midfield. Need to bring in 2 young forwards that can play across the front line.
