Who’s gone in the summer?

Ederson
Steffen
Carson (hg) - leaving

Dias
Laporte
Stones (hg)
Ake
Garcia - leaving

Walker (hg)
Zinchenko
Cancelo
Mendy

Fernandinho - leaving ???
Rodri

De Bruyne
Gundogan
Mahrez
Bernado
Foden (hg)

Sergio - leaving
Jesus
Torres
Sterling (hg)

if fernandinho stays does that leave us just 1 overseas spot vacated by sergio?
so 3rd choice keeper needs to be home grown?

Garcia, Aguero, sterling, Rodri add in city group and eds sales the likes of Harrison, porro, nmecha etc and we could be seeing around £150 million in sales coming in

Those 4 out, a striker in (likely Kane)

a mobile defensive midfielder in (Bissouma? Luiz?)

And a pacy runner who can control a football and use his left foot to replace sterling (no idea who, double swoop on spurs for son?)

If the Kane or alternative fee is something we deem reasonable we could do all that for comfortably less than £100 million net and have a lower wage bill.

Fix those areas with those players or players with similar attributes and we end next season as champions again and anything else is a bonus.
Why would spurs sell two players to us.? Too much of fifa bullshit these days

Garcia
Mendy
Rodri/ Dino - we need a new DM so one of them has to go.
Sterling
Mahrez- great season but last chance to get decent money.
I'll take João Felix for Jesus but if not Jesus is good enough to be 2nd st.

In:
DM
LB - Mendes?
Grealish
Haaland
And I know there is zero chance for this to happen but I'm all in for Sancho

Sancho!!!!!!!!!!
Foden ----Haaland----- Sancho
The best trio in the world for the next decade
Or
Foden----- Kane----- Sancho
All English

I remember watching Sane — Jesus — Sterling run riot against West Ham thinking we got our forward line sorted for the next decade.

The reality of that situation is that Sane fucked off, Jesus is shite as a striker and the less said about Sterling the better.

Feel like there might be a few surprise departures, however I’m unsure who would have the money City would demand for any of the players we want to sell, so probably end up keeping a couple that we are willing to sell on.

No doubt if players do go it’ll be 20-30m undervalued compared to what we’d pay for a similar player.

As Pep said the other day it is important to change players. This obviously means new ones coming in but it has to include some leaving.

We won’t get rid of all of the following, we might not sell any of them, but I think these are the players that could potentially leave to raise funds and/or freshen up the squad:

Sterling - woefully out of form and dodgy contract situation

Mahrez - had a good 2nd half of the season after terrible pre-Xmas form. Getting on a bit and will never have a better chance to recoup decent money for him.

Jesus - I love the guy and would like him to stay but even I doubt that he can ever be the main man. If we needed a makeweight in the Kane deal, I think he is the most likely candidate.

Bernardo - Love his work-rate and attitude but feel he has become something of a square peg in a round hole. I don’t know what his best position is and again could raise decent funds.

Laporte - Want him to stay but he is unlikely to be happy as 3rd choice and missing the biggest games. Could play for any other team he wants and from Citys POV, he could probably command one of the biggest transfer fees to raise funds.

Mendy - Doesn’t need any explanation.

Cancelo - I still think he is the best full back at the club and I do not want him sold. We were at our best when he was given the freedom to move into midfield and dictate play. As soon as the shackles are put on him and he is asked to be a “normal” full back, he is completely wasted and in Walker we already have a better version of a traditional, defensive right back. He won’t be happy playing 2nd fiddle and I can see him wanting a move away. Again, could raise good money.

Ake - Didn’t rate him at Bournemouth. Don’t rate him now. Will likely have to take a hit on what we paid for him but it’s preferable to him sticking around and adding very little to the squad. Again, if Spurs are interested, might prove useful in any attempt to sign Kane.

Cancelo - I don’t want him to leave but he’s only played well in around 20% (possibly being generous here) of his matches with us. His inconsistency is staggering.
Mendy - Won’t happen

I also think there’s a good chance one of Laporte/Ake will leave. It would be most disappointing if the former were to leave, though. His form in his first season (from February) was as good as I’ve seen from a centre back with us.

There’s also a possibility we will see at least one of Mahrez, Sterling, Bernardo and Jesus leaving but I think they’ll all stay.

Hope Sterling is first out the Door.

Watching him play this last season has left me with PTSD.

I would promote a Traffic Cone if it came to it.
I think it is more likely that Sterling gets a contract extension rather being sold. I can't see any club that he'd be interested in joining wanting him and I don't think the club would want him having only a year left at the end of next season.

He doesn't deserve a new (presumably more lucrative) contract in my view.

Cancelo is a real enigma isn’t he. Not got the right mentality for me and I don’t like his theatrical falling over when touched. I wouldn’t be bothered to see him go and he has been lauded by the media recently so we may get a good price for him.

Garcia - obvious reasons
Mendy - bad injuries, but now is the time to cut our losses
Sergio - obvious reasons
Sterling - looks a shadow of the player he was 18 months ago. I think this new system which possession is more critical than being a runner like he was alongside Sane in the first title winning seasons with Pep is killing him. Grealish is the better player for Pep. It’s a bit sad as he’s been so good for us, I just feel the team has evolved and he’s been left behind.

Bring in Mendes, Grealish and a striker. Fuck knows who the striker will be, I’ve got a feeling it will be someone other than Kane or Haaland.

I can see Mahrez possibly leaving too, but I don’t see us bringing in two wingers. He’s only got two years left on his contract and we’ve heard nothing about a renewal, just rumours of him leaving.

We need a refresh in the team. Something like Ruben this season.

I would prefer a striker and .winger

Outgoings to make place for those players.
