I don’t disagree but that would still leave us with the issue of needing to offload another player in order to register Kane if we get him, nor would it provide us any incoming cash for FFP purposes.

We have three who want to leave, supposedly
 
Interesting to see how pep manages this. Possibly the first time he’s got un settled players in the squad. It will have an impact on morale.

all seem very un settled to me. If I had a choice I would keep Bernie & sell the rest

As much as I’d love them to stay I get why Laporte and Bernardo want to move on, but unless he wants a fresh start I think we’d be crazy to wave off Jesus. I’m assuming/hoping he was on the bench yesterday because of copa America duty.

Yes, fair point, but different teams, different priorities, different strengths and depths, different longer term vision for the season. A bit like the rags playing Maguire. If they didn’t play him, then who. Richarlison is the main man for Everton, particularly given the players absent for covid reasons

I just don’t see Jesus changing games or worrying many teams. Yes he pops up with goals but he’s not a top striker for me
 
looks like Atletico will spend their money on a striker instead of Bernardo. 70m euros are being quoted for Vlahovic/Atletico, doubt they will come up with another 60-70m euros for Bernardo.

Seems that when buying off city nobody wants to pay market value. Really makes selling first team players hard

Unfortunately our incredibly generous contracts are hard to match,especially if the suitor is prepared to pay top dollar in terms of fee.
 
We've actually let it out that Laporte is for sale and set a price. Bernardo must not be attracting serious interest.
 
City advertising Laporte for £60m probably because they can’t shift silva and need the money for Kane
