The people saying he's not worth 60m from rival clubs cannot be serious, right? They have to be trying to haggle on behalf of their cash strapped clubs or something. He would improve any club he goes to, hope it's not a PL rival. Barca can't afford him. Do Real need a CB?
I'd rather we keep him, if Stones goes off the boil again, our defence options are a different story without Laporte. If were buying at his current level(experience, quality having trained under Pep) from anyone else, I dread to the think what they'd be asking for.

It's not easy. They are top players with high wages and want to play CL football. Most big clubs in spain and Italy are having money problems

Yeah I understand that options are very limited. By reports Bernardo wants out since last summer surely his agent could of found him a club by now.
tbf laporte is too good not to be first choice.

Because we are always prepared to take it up the arse with regards payment terms then it actually isn’t that difficult to do the deal - effectively if he signs a 6 year deal wherever he goes then we can accept £10mil per year for 6 years to get the deal done.
edit…plus I assume in these kind of deals there is an inflation element built in.

One does not "get rid of" a player of Laporte's calibre.
If he goes, we'd be having to play Ake at CB if one of Stones or Dias got a long injury.
Having 3 top quality CBs is an absolute must for any side with the ambitions we have.
Bernardo would he the better sale option as Grealish can fill that gap, with a similar level of quality.
Except he wasn’t not better then stones or Diaz last season…
laporte is now spains main centre back hes too good to be waiting around on the bench for dias and stones to not be fit.
