Who’s listening in?

I was looking at clothes in a shop yesterday. Then when I was on Amazon later, virtually the same sort I tried on was advertised. Probably coincidence, but I initially thought it had tracked me into a specific shop.
With geo-location, your phone (and therefore any company that your phone manufacturer sells that info onto) will know which shop you went to.

I haven’t heard, yet, of tracking to an individual clothes rail, but with the amount of location data possible (NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, 4g/5g) these days, it’s possible, and down to the individual garment with a NFC chip.
Tie that into the lack of buying of the clothes from the shop and it’s only an algorithm run away, to try and nudge you into buying.

It could all be coincidence, but the amount of ‘personal’ information processed by your phone/apps (location, data, voice) can be astronomical

Getting a bit wary now about all the devices in our house, yesterday I sent a WhatsApp message to mate about installing a loft hatch in our house, go on YouTube this morning and there’s a video low and behold about installing a loft hatch. It’s not the first time, over the last few weeks other things have popped up, fortunately no anal beads, yet!
I get cookies when searching on the t'internet but just talking or private messaging and things are appearing now, what else are these things recording?
Yeah but now you don’t have to go off and Google it
