Votes for women was when all the trouble started, oh so you want independence? You want a vote? Ok then go out to work take lots of jobs that men did. Unemployment, women having to work and bring kids up and look after the house. Nightmare! Would prefer to be pre vote woman and easier life and looked after. Been career woman and brought kids up and did all house stuff - not a good deal I don't think!!

Oh I don't know; dying young in childbirth or being washed out by 30 doesn't appeal either ;-)
Joking aside, it wouldn't be for me. As much as I think women have it tough these days juggling the responsibilities of work, kids, the home, elderly parents etc I think a stay at home wife kind of life would have driven me mad.

Same here but me and Mrs Pie will put our Conservative votes in. Should we not get some benefits as a minority then ?
