Who can replace Leroy Sane?

Really don't think we need one. Foden and Jesus are options out wide and we should focus on buying a traditional number 9 ala Haaland because something needs to be done about our wastefulness infront of goal.
We need pace not skill we have that in abundance like someone already mentioned teams can sit deep as we lack pace now in wide areas.we need someone whos rapid and can finish.a mane or traore for example.

I agree with you but I feel like our lack of clinical edge means a pure goalscorer should be the top of our transfer tragets. Sterling is still rapid and Walker certainly offers alot of pace when he overlaps, we simply just miss too many chances. Also, we've seen a worrying trend of dangerous crosses being whipped in and not being pounced upon in the box. Someone like Dzeko would have a field day in our side.

I don't see how that helps when you have teams like Leicester playing quickly and with 1 ball Vardy getting behind our defenders. United will do the same with Rashford. Tottenham with Son etc. Not all teams will break with numbers on us.
It's far easier to defend one player on the counter attack, than 4-5 players. You'll always get caught out occasionally, that's football, no team is perfect.

You reduce the chances however if you have a strong counter attacking threat yourself, as teams are scared to attack you knowing one mistake can lead to their downfall. They're more likely to sit back and not take the risk, which is exactly what we want, so we can control the entire game.

The defence needs to be improved no doubt, but strengthening the attack will prevent the defence being as exposed as often. Hence the term attack is the best form of defence.

We also wouldn't create as many chances because our strikers are crucial to creating space, moving defenders out of position and dropping into midfield to create an overload meaning keeping possession is far easier. Less possession means less crosses from dangerous areas, which means less goals.

We need to learn from mistakes made by the scum in the past. Failure to replace top players with players of similar ability can soon result in finishing 3rd or 4th.We lost one of the best centre backs and captains in the world and tried to get by this year. We’ve now lost one of the best left wingers in the world. Sticking strikers, right sided attackers and centre midfielders out there is not the answer after losing our title by 20 odd points.

Also when we had Sané and Sterling flying and pressing defenders once we lost possession. Our fullbacks didn’t need to provide our width and could took in to provide cover to help stop counters. Since our slower style with inverted wingers the fullbacks are expected to push forward more(despite being average at it it) this leaves us far more open.

YaYa Toure. Remember him? Never thought we'd be able to replace him. But we did in grand style. Sane will hopefully not be missed. I'd love Sancho tho.

Saka just extended his Arsenal deal so thats one off the list.
