Who did Mancini p*ss off?

Whatever the ins and outs of it, he'll always be my favourite manager. he brought us our first success for decades and the way we won the league will likely never be bettered.

I do understand that some may not have rated him quite a highly as I do/did but I really just don't get those who seem to actually dislike the guy.

^this^!!! Our love for mancini is/was similar to how dortmund fans love klopp

The final decision was made after he overreached his perceived power.

Mario had sent his stuff back to Milan in mid-December, full in the knowledge the deal was done.

Despite this, Mancini made one last desperate attempt towards the end of the month to block the move by stating publicly that Mario would never be sold because he was Sheikh Mansour's favourite player.

Off the back of the terrible Champions League campaign, it was the final straw for Abu Dhabi.

Everything after that, was Mancini burning every bridge he could because he knew the game was up from January onwards in terms of us attempting to recruit Pellegrini.

There's nothing in that article that conflicts with what I posted. We couldn't complete the RVP deal because Mancini wouldn't sanction the sale of Balotelli. One in, one out.

By the time we had Mancini's contract sorted out it was mid-July and we were left with just a few weeks to pick up scraps in the market. That's why we ended up with those players. It's really quite simple and I don't understand why you can't get that.

Not necessarily disputing what you're saying but it does seem pretty implausible to think that city couldnt pursue targets until the managers contact was sorted. We operate with a director of football so why wouldn't they press ahead with transfers?

We didn't have a director of football the summer that Mancini won the title. In fact we didn't even have a CEO as Ferran wasn't appointed until 1st September.

Think you will find Marwood took Cook's job after he stabbed him in the back forwarding private Emails to Onuoha's Mam..

Then why are Marwood and Cook still incredibly good friends?

I think you'll also find that Marwood was simply a temporary administrator whilst Ferran/Txiki were appointed.

You're taking clueless to new levels but keep it up it's funny!

Spot on. We had van Persie lined up for a few months but for FFP reasons RM was told we had to sell a forward before we could finalise the deal. We had offers for Balotelli but he refused to sell so the RVP deal fell through. RM had no one to blame but himself for.

Who sells the players? Not the manager, the CEO does the hiring and Firing does he not ..
So you really think Mancini told Marwood, get me Rodwell and Sinclair that should strengthen the team and push us on to the next level..

Conflicting story? Think I believe Wenger's account of what happened regarding the RVP deal..

So a player has no say in which club he wishes to go to? He turned us down Wenger says in the article, so it was a no go anyway, so why all the talk about it was a done deal only if Mario was sold?

Good friends now that's funny.. you keep it up..

Also, You say a deal didn't go through because a Manager wouldn't sell said player? Like the player doesn't have a say...

Mario, was granted by our owner Sheikh Mansour his move to his boyhood club for the notoriety he brought our club and for helping put us on the big stage.
