The problem lies here - do you want to break up the meanest centre halfs in the Premier League last season?? If not then you're really looking at centre halfs who are already backups - who wants to come in and sit on the bench if you're already playing?!?
 
My list of three would look like this (unrealistic transfers omitted)

1.Pedro
What an amazing player he is, has got speed, surprisingly strong for his size, ball control and is a very good finisher. Problem is he is Barca through and through. But what a signing he would be! Wow.

2. Daniele de Rossi
Would give us cover for every position in the midfield as well as back-up for our centre backs. A midfield dominator, a warrior who always wants and will stop at nothing to win.

3. Javi Martinez
The future star and ruler of the Spanish midfield, with very equal qualities to those of De Rossi.

All three highly versatile players.
