Who else is Wembleyed out?

I'm gutted at missing today's game for medical reasons. It would have been my 24th Wembley trip with City since 1970. I had to cancel my ticket and hotel. Despite what many say on here it is still a privilege watching my team at Wembley and I will never take it for granted.
It is a duty.

We are the most regular club team to play there and are fucked about royally by all the authorities each time.

400 mile journey for 37500 City fans.

18 mile journey for chavs.

That's support.......AGAIN !!

Fantastic day yesterday. Not feeling great back in work at seven bells this morning but these trips don’t pay for themselves.

My favourite away games are all in London so the more trips to Wembley the better for me. I appreciate not everyone’s idea of a good day out is structured around drinking copious amounts of alcohol. But for those of us who it is, I don’t see what’s not to like about a day out in London?

Piss easy direct trains. Amazing underground system that can get you virtually anywhere in London in about half an hour and the choice of more areas to drink in than you could possibly ever manage.

I reckon I must have been to something like 200 games in London over the years and am still finding new places to drink. Found some wonderful old, quirky pubs yesterday in an area I’d never been to before. Can’t even really moan about the price anymore. As you’re paying more in most of the NQ pubs before home games.

Already looking forward to Fulham and the final.

Train and hotel all booked for final, it is something some fans have never experienced in their lifetime - so enjoy, soak it in be grateful to this wonderful club and owners - its not just about the football .... its beers with mates, memories, maybe a few new pubs, good fun and hopefully a trophy........ but I'm not gonna have a pop at any Blue who is not going as the total cost to follow football is becoming seriously unaffordable to those on an average wage.

Personally, I still hate the idea that the semis are played at Wembley, they shouldn’t be, imo. I would have attended yesterday though if it hadn’t been for fact I had an operation last week so couldn’t. Can’t agree though with the terminology of being “Wembleyed out”, that’s nonsense.

I’ll bet the OP will go to the final….

Yes, thanks for asking. Absolutely annihilated my knee playing footy at end of Jan. Make some of these Prem players look like fannies, lol. Done it so badly got to have 2 operations to sort it, had first last week which was the repair of a bad tear in my meniscus, which means I can’t weight bear or drive obviously and have to use crutches for 6 fucking weeks. Then once I’ve recovered and done the rehab for that I have a full ACL reconstruction waiting for me as ruptured that too! Had to miss Luton, Madrid home and yesterday, touch and go whether I can make Wolves, but I’ll be allowed to attend West Ham and the FA Cup final. Even had tickets for opening night of Coop Arena on Tuesday that was looking forward to going to, lol, having to let my son have them.

Didn’t go yesterday out of choice as I don’t agree with having a semi at Wembley.

Unfortunately I’m in Spain for the final so will miss that too!

Went today. Hate the place. The FA are cunts playing semis down there.
I tend to agree with this tbh. The only upside is it gives a lot more of our fans the opportunity to see the team play in a semi and actually have trip to Wembley.

Taking my mate with a bad ACL footy injury to hospital and hearing his pained screams, persuaded me it was time to quit playing whilst the going was good.
Recover well!

Played 2/3 times a week for last 25 years or so, first time I’ve had a bad injury. Is what it is. I’m lucky I can run my business from my bedroom.
