Seeing as Arsenal basically nicked their kit this season, and the whole 'Super League' nonsense. I was wondering, who do people consider to be the bigger club between the two teams in 2021?

On paper, and historally, Ajax are the far bigger club. Money talks though in modern football and Arsenal are far more wealthy due to playing in the most lucrative league in football. Where do you stand on this?
Like I’ve said before winning a champions league doesn’t make you a great club but you can’t be classed as being one never having won it.

Ajax by a wide margin.

I suppose Ajax are still as big a club as you get in the Netherlands: Arsenal are still as big a club as you get in ... north London.

You’ve just called measuring clubs dumb and then go on to measure them.

You are also confusing history with how big they are. Arsenal have more fans, more followers, bigger reach, bigger attraction, more resources.

Anyone who says Ajax is dumb, it literally takes two minutes to do basic research to look at the facts.

If someone has got £10m to spend on sponsorship on a football club, they will choose the bigger club Arsenal over Ajax. No one gives a fuck about Rinus Michaels when talking about size of clubs.

Your definition of a big club is just different to others ie wrong.

Yes there is a clear definition of who is bigger. It’s everything I have already explained. Big is defined by numbers of which Arsenal outweigh Ajax in every meaningful category at this present time.

“And hey”, you pick Ajax if you’re customer base is dutch, we’re talking who’s bigger overall in the world not in a country of 17 million people.

You do realise that the population of the world is bigger than the Netherlands don’t you? Or do you think the youngsters in Asia, Africa and America know who Rinus Michaels and Patrick Kluivert are?

Here’s some questions for you:-

Who has the bigger stadium capacity?

Who has the bigger attendance?

Who plays in the biggest domestic competition in the world?

Who has the bigger annual revenue?

Who can command the bigger sponsorship deals?

If both competing for domestic and European honours, who doesn’t have to sell their players to bigger clubs?

Who has the bigger fan base in Europe?

Who has the bigger fan base in Asia?

Who has the bigger fan base in North America?

Who has the bigger fan base in South America?

Who has the bigger fan base in Africa?

Who has the bigger fan base in Oceania?

Who has the bigger fan base in the world?

Who has the bigger following on social media?

Who has the biggest website hits?

Which club has more video views on YouTube?

Who has a bigger media reach and engagement?

Which club is the bigger attraction for players?

Which club is the bigger attraction for managers?

Which club is the bigger attraction for investors?

Which club is the bigger attraction for tourists?

Which club has the bigger merchandise sales?

So it is really quite simple on who is bigger? And if you answer Ajax to any of them questions above then you need to continue arguing with Bigga and ruining threads on the politics forum and leave the football side of things.

Now if you said who is more successful or who has had more of an impact on the history of football then that is a different conversation.

But who is bigger? Only a hipster would say Ajax. Are you and your mate “Dom” hipsters?

Put down the hipster magazines and come into the real world.
Haha fuckin hell

Totally agree. All this how big a football club is argument really started in the 2000's when teams like Chelsea, City and PSG were bought, as a coping mechanism from United and Arsenal fans because it meant they would no longer be guaranteed 1st or 2nd, and their CL spot would now come under threat.

It really didn’t i was having this argument with fans claiming we weren’t a big club domestically since the 80’s. It seemed to bother them for some reason.

Glad we can now confirm it based on tweets and Asian kit sales.

The historically bigger club… ajax

the current bigger club… arsenal

never understand this ‘bigger club’ stuff.

are villa and forest ‘bigger’ than us?
what about sunderland and everton?

just a bit of dick waving nonsense innit
