The Release Clause.

Porto are in a middle of the title race and are on course for the latter stages of the Champions League. They aren't going to further weaken themselves at this stage and they aren't going to do us any favours either seeing we have poached their DoF.
His release clause is 60 million. Bruno was 100 million. That's a big difference. Also Valera release clause can be activated in January

Those are 4 players who have release clauses who we could get without challenge if we went for them as the clubs can't stop us
I couldn't say who is the best of them (stopped watching European football a few years ago) but surely any of them would come in an instantly make us stronger

It would show that the club had solid plans in place wouldn’t it but like you say, unlikely
