I doubt it very much at this stage. Already lost their manager and DoF. Still in the title race, player might not fancy moving in January. Porto are no mugs either.That's news to us and Porto
Short term cover till end of the season?
Can play across the back, knows the club and City already.
Not the worst of suggestion but again could do with a little more long term.
The Release Clause.
Both and the player would not want to move just yet either. Similar with Zubimendi (although he is carrying a back injury). Porto are in a middle of the title race and are on course for the latter stages of the Champions League. They aren't going to further weaken themselves at this stage and they aren't going to do us any favours either seeing we have poached their DoF.

We are known to move on from a target if they don’t want to join us at our choosing. I would be surprised if some of the players mentioned earlier with release clauses wouldn’t leap at the chance in January because it may not come again. They may have to take a pinch this season on achievements but longer term a player will be well suited at city for winning trophies and earning a very high salaryFair enough it still Chrismas. It would still take a lot of convince to make the leap mid season with us still looking wobbly. Too much pressure for them to perform with the current situation with the squad.
