Who joins us in January?

Kalvin Philips was the intended fix.

Regretably he wasnt good enough & imo, never recovered from the uneccessary public humiliation of 'fatgate'

There must be no short term solutions to fix long term problems.

Imo qualifying for the CL will constitute success this season and it is achievable but only if we can get the entire squad fit, in condition and playing close to good form.

If we cant recruit elite players at value who can go straight into the team AND improve it, we may have to gird our loins, galvanise the players and fans for the CL objective and go for it.

One last hurraaah from a wonderful group of remarkable players.
"uneccessary public humiliation of 'fatgate'

Please tell me your not serious?

City were repeatedly ridiculed (and with some justification when he initially struggled for consistency) for paying far too much for De Bruyne

He also turned out to be one of the best signings we've ever had so if it means buying proven quality then I'd rather City pay over-the-odds than fart around with a loan or yet another youngster who "might" be good value in a couple of years

There’s also an argument we have stuff lined up which is why pep is so vocal about a defender and midfielder (but not attacker as also being reported we are after).

Teams that know we are desperate will make it harder to get a deal done, unless a release clause or already agreed before public comments.

Kevin didn't struggle and we didn't pay too much or get ridiculed. Few English pundits who knew nothing about European football made dumb comments. But anyone with any ounce of knowledge knew Kevin was mint.

You've picked up on two words and ignored the rest
Consequently you're arguing against something I didn't actually say.

Emotionally I agree with every word

Realistically our injury prone players will never return to full fitness and the team will continue to drift until we buy proven quality regardless of the cost
