It won’t make a huge amount of difference to me but it will make a much bigger difference to everyone still at school or starting their careers. It’s not all about me or you.

I cannot honestly see decency and honesty happening in my life time.
In the times of 24 hour media everything that anybody says is dissected and analysed.
Credit to Starmer and Rayner offering to resign if they received a fine.
However if they do get the top jobs it will be interesting to see if they maintain integrity and truthfulness or they rely on their
PR team to come up with the answers

That just sounds like a politicians sound bite .
How can you say that with certainty.
The majority of the Country have no idea what the Labour Party’s specific education policies will be.
We will have to wait for the manifesto for that.
I heard on the radio yesterday that the percentage of the working classes going to University in September 2022 will be at record levels.

I seem to recall Barry Gardner who took on responsibility for being Labours spokesperson on Parliamentary Standards accepting £1/2 a million pounds from someone overseas for access to his Diary.
I keep a Diary and I must confess if someone offered me £1/2 a million pounds for access to it I would snap their hands off.

Minimum wage, tuition fees for higher education, devolution, and an 18% increase in real incomes. Oh, and war…

Oh , and there’s the amount of money that the family made in buying those flats in South Wales that we’re put in to his wife’s name, his memoirs, his Middle East consultancy fees etc etc , I could go on.

Your recollection is a bit off then as that accusation wasn’t one that MI5 thought had merit.

Still though, I wouldn’t want either you or Gardiner to be in government if you would do that!

Thought liz truss actually started to sound less like a robot in the second half. I’d say her or Mordaunt performed best. It’s not saying much though as I don’t rate any of them.

Personally I don’t trust any of them, Labour or Tory.
They are so nervous about giving an honest answer and losing votes they are over reliant on their PR teams to coach them.

I agree. I don’t trust any party now. They all sound the same and repeat the same lines.

Doesn’t seem to be much difference between any politicians or the parties.

Btw, how did Sunak come across in the end?

I fear he's being held out as a salvation for some who 'lent their vote' to the tories for the first time (hence one of the Blair references....although I'm quite sure Blair never showed such disdain to the working class as shown in that unearthed Sunak video last week).

They’re utterly pointless. 99.9% of the population can’t vote for any of them. They are all aware of that fact and straight bat every question as there is no merit in nailing their colours to the mast, but there is lots to lose if they make a gaffe.

Therefore they chat bullshit for an hour trying very hard to remember what their body language trainers told them.
