Doesn't look very likely now.

I suppose we'll just be left rudderless then until the autumn.

And why not? Only facing dreadful economic crisis, brexit stuff, COVID waves, primary healthcare failing, Ukraine, etc etc.

Boris literally fled and abandoned the country when it got tough. It seems that's spread back into the Tory party.

Will the new leader even show up, when eventually, Parliament and Government get back to business?

Where those convinced by Badenoch’s antI-woke and slim down the state agenda go now will be crucial. How 59 of them were convinced by that heaven knows, but if they bought that they may well buy anything Truss and Mordaunt are selling. Indeed if they split in a particular way, Sunak could yet come third. Would be hilarious if Sunak lost by one vote after Elwood has been excluded.

If any sensible MPs think the members would not vote for Sunak, they could switch from him to Mordaunt in the hope that she would get more votes from the members than Truss.

Imagine Johnson without any charisma.
Same amount of lying and boasting about achievements yet as utterly useless as Johnson, with all so called achievements being no more than Larry the cat could have achieved. Will be even more under the control of the billionaires that bankroll the Tory party.
Her performance in the debates has been woeful with easily disprovable lies tripping off her tongue every time she speaks.
