If we'd allowed foreign residents to vote in the EU leave/remain poll, we would have had the desired (sensible) result and there wouldn't be such a good case for another referendum on Scottish independence.

I'm not sure about the latter part, Wee Nippy's life aim is to make them independent.

Meanwhile, though EU ports haven't rushed to provide facilities to help us export to them, UK ports have wasted money on facilities that would help control our borders but aren't being used...
