Top rant from James.
Top rant from James.
I have always liked him mate. He tells it as it is, even if he is a bit smug around his own intelligence sometimes.I have never once liked a post that contains one of his videos but that has now changed.

Time to 'turn' the Tory ship round though ;-)
I would blow it out the fucking water with 4 well aimed torpedoes.
I came to something like that a couple of years ago. Independence is not SNP and SNP are not independence albeit many look at them as the same thing. As a strong ex Unionist I say sadly that the Union is pretty much dead. When the politics of the countries that make it up diverge significantly it cannot survive under the present Westminster model. The last few weeks have been a political game changer for me.
At the next referendum I now sadly see no other outcome for Scotland other than to vote yes and to leave what is a broken beyond repair political monopoly that is Westminster.
Now I will say that Scotland must then also throw up its own credible opposition to the SNP because if it doesn’t, we will face the same as a party that knows it will win can just do what it wants and that is a huge danger to us all but right now, I see no other option for Scotland.
I've tried to avoid coming to that by telling myself I probably wouldn't vote for independance even though very tempted because this Westminster government or any isn't for life, brexit pushed me much closer but I still wavered. I think this leadership campaign talking only about tax, no mentions of the NHS, energy price , cost of living, labour shortages, Northern Ireland, climate or anything has finally pushed me over the edge. That and both opposition parties lack of challenge. (Lets see what Labour present on Monday)I came to something like that a couple of years ago. In an independent Scotland the parties will contest as they do now and it is far harder for one to have an overall majority because of pr.
The SNP will be judged on its policies and not on its ability to be the delivery mechanism for independence.
Brexit was my tipping point. Not just the decision but the campaign and the lies and the total dismissal of Scotlands vote. Everything since has just increased my view that independence is the right thing. I think ultimately we would be very much better off from a democratic point of view. The transition from here to then will undoubtedly be rough.I've tried to avoid coming to that by telling myself I probably wouldn't vote for independance even though very tempted because this Westminster government or any isn't for life, brexit pushed me much closer but I still wavered. If there was a vote now I'd definitely vote Yes. Simply because I want to live in a country that leans left of centre , I don't believe there is any prospect of that from a Westminster government for a long time.
It says something when Cleverly still thinks that the ship is still afloat.I have always liked him mate. He tells it as it is, even if he is a bit smug around his own intelligence sometimes.
