Who should be the next leader of the Tory party?

Of all those on the list Larry the Cat is the standout figure. The depressing thing is that there appears to be not one single person whose arse occasionally comes into contact with the green benches who fills me with twenty grammes of confidence. And that taking into account both sets of benches.

Michael Gove is well connected. He could sort you out with 20 grams of confidence.

Having given it some thought, the two obvious choices to contest the vote (remember that the Tory MPs pick the contenders and then the party membership decide) has to be defence fella and Mordaunt in the final two.

The reasoning behind that is that I just cannot see the Tory membership electing a person of Asian extraction, as sad as that sounds and I hope I am wrong as Larry was born in Burma. Mordaunt is a RN Captain, a woman and they will have Thatcher fantasies. Defence fella has been that impressive i cannot even remember his name but that will suit the Tory memberships usual preference for understatement and that will be especially relevant after the fall of the narcissistic liar. Neither of them particularly attacked their hero the narcissistic liar so will be acceptable.

Mordaunt though has been rumoured to be having meetings with certain American libertarians not that it will matter to the Tory membership who are that old they will think a libertarian is a new name for a Librarian. Defence guy will sate the memberships desires for strong armed forces and whilst I know little about him, he seems competent and anybody who has even the slightest whiff of competence has to be better than the current shower of idiots, lunatics, fanatics, evangelists, swivel eyed loons, racists, sex pests , liar apologists and downright fucking head in the clouds away with the fairies shed heads we have endured has to be an improvement.
Talking of libertarians

Not much of a choice, where's Boris on the list

Exactly, parliament is full of career politicians. The only cross party connections are generally a privileged upbringing, arse polishing job and utter contempt for the populous. Its a long-time since MP's may have served together in defence of the country.

He is scary
The totally wingnut wing has gained a lot of influence in recent years I doubt they'll give it up without a struggle.
I'm a KFA when it comes to Mourdant but maybe as you hint she could be the 'electable' one.
