I remember this exact thread few weeks ago, when are you gonna learn to take baby steps City fans? just calm down and make sure you beat West ham next week, thats your most important league game so far as Spurs has Chelsea away and will more than liely lose there. Dont forget West ham are also fighting for their life. After a big win you guys always get too carried away and fall the next game

I will ignore the fact the win tonight, where we would typically fall, came after our biggest win (and subsequently everyone getting very carried away) in our recent history..
I delighted you got the win as i would love Spurs to miss out. But next week is the deciding week. They will lose to Chelsea, you beat west ham and you have huge physological advantage over them. There will be so much pressure on them when they come to your turf and you can play without any pressure. just make sure you beat west ham

Agreed. It was 3 of the most important points we'll pick up all season tonight, but a win at West Ham and a loss for Spurs at Chelsea would all but see us home I think. That's not to say we'll get 3rd from you, I still don't think we'll manage that (and I've offered a forfeit of hat eating should we succeed), but this seasons been pretty unpredictable so far, so you never know. Heck, Spurs could still end up in 6th, behind Liverpool no less.. Certainly never would have seen that coming!

Arsenal are very low right now, I think they'll lose two more fixtures this season.

3rd is very achievable.

Arsenal is unpredictable as hell mate, dont be shocked if they beat Man U next game when everyone expect them to lose. We actually played well against Bolton specially second half.......just no cutting edge

Could do with shooting when clean through on goal. Can't believe I felt sorry for Wenger and Arsenal after that game as Fagregs and Van Persie have annoyed me in recent games.

Don't think there is much wrong with Arsenal as you are always there. Maybe need a proper centre-forward and central defender, but you have the best midfield in the Premiership, and technically you are easily the best team in the Premiership. No good if you play good football but concede goal from cornrs.

I think you will beat Utd too. Pressure will be off, but motivation there to win. td might be tired too. Hope you win, gut City can't really lose in this fixture. Also hoping Chelsea win

The Spurs and Arsenal games were perfect examples of how difficult this league is right now. Both teams set out at a good tempo and played pretty well. Arsenal were caught out by an exact replica of Real Madrid's tactics vs Barcelona, and Spurs tired, leaving gaps in midfield that were ultimately exploited by one guy's moment of genius. The mid-table clubs have never looked more resourceful, full of belief and organised. They know how to knick the games. The margins are so slim now it's ridiculous. The only reason Utd have won the league is that their psychological advantage is such that both referees and opponents can only picture one result. Strikers miss, goalkeepers spill the ball, refs don't send players off, because the only thing in their mind is a Utd comeback.

So taking every ounce of momentum and belief into a game will probably decide it in your favour. My big hope is that City have that golden feeling right now. We'll see.

Spurs' mentality is fading but they are still dangerous because they have the memory of several great wins over the last year and a bit to call upon. I knew they were done for, when on the eve of the WBA game, Crouch said they would raise themselves for the upcoming big games. It got them through last year but they've ended up losing focuse during the run of the mill stuff.

Us catching Arsenal depends on them more than us. Frankly, god only knows where they are as a collective. Wenger is a horrible sight, it's genuinely not nice seeing such pained body language. Even when things were going okay, he was displaying odd tics.. now he knows what he's doing, yet he can't stop himself....

Mancini's looked shell-shocked once or twice but he's bounced back, he cut an impressive figure during the semi-final, and now it's hugs and high-fives all around, a heart warming, mentally nourishing sight for fans and players. Can Wenger do the same? I'm not sure. The inquest has already started. Whilst players are obviously motivated, the collective belief is being attacked from within. Right now they are missing the calmness and ruthless ability to see out pressure points that has nothing to do with organisation and everything to do with belief in the organisation.

Even so, they are capable of anything, and the fast passing will surely overwhelm at least a couple of teams, they will get early-ish goals in some games, just enough to see them finish ahead of us. Probably.

Arsenal are missing the likes of a young Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp in my opinion.

No. We wont get Tevez back for enough games However I think we may just crawl over the line for 4th but I'm very worried about the Everton and Stoke games never mind Tottenham.

If Arsenal bought a decent CB, Manuel Neuer, Nigel De Jong, and Jose Enrique, they'd win the Prem by 5 points.

But buying 3 players of that caliber would take 70 million and Wenger is obsessed with his failed youths.
