Who Thinks 3rd Place is Achievable?

3rd place is achieveable, but I think we should just take it game by game, focus on getting 4th, and then, and try and pick up win after win, and see that where that leaves us at the end of the season. If it's 4th great, if it's 3rd, even better. As long as it's not 5th.

I don't think we'll get it. But really thinking of anything above 4th now won't really help.

If we can beat West Ham and Utd take points from Arsenal it could be possible

It's certainly looking more possible after tonight.

Next weekend if we beat West Ham and the rags beat Arsenal then we would be 2 points behind with a game in hand.

The following weekend we're at Everton but Arsenal are at Stoke so as long as we don't do any worse than them, that takes us to the game in hand, which is Spurs. So Spurs could actually be the game that helps decide 3rd and 4th places.

Got to be looking at it realistically after tonights win. Win our game in hand and we're closer to Arsenal than Spurs are to us so it has to be a possibility.

-- Tue Apr 26, 2011 1:07 am --

Which scenario would you pick:

Utd win the league and we finish 3rd or United finish 2nd and us 4th ?

Id love it if they didnt win the league, but if them winning the league meant we were 3rd and straight into groups of CL, Id take the 3rd, thank you very much.

I remember this exact thread few weeks ago, when are you gonna learn to take baby steps City fans? just calm down and make sure you beat West ham next week, thats your most important league game so far as Spurs has Chelsea away and will more than liely lose there. Dont forget West ham are also fighting for their life. After a big win you guys always get too carried away and fall the next game

I will ignore the fact the win tonight, where we would typically fall, came after our biggest win (and subsequently everyone getting very carried away) in our recent history..
