aaaah the Rover, and his time flying Lancs were in his early days which i missed, his later career was in Mossies. Six stories every week, in each comic, about 6 pence each (?) printed in Manchester, never the same after the switch to the illustrated versions, The Eagle sponsored a national table-tennis competition with the semifinals at the YM in town where i lost to a young Jewish lad who went on to win it.
