It’s a tough one.
For anyone saying ‘we’ve got Håland’ - while he might score a few more goals than he did last season - we can’t genuinely expect him to score an extra 30 goals on top of the 52 he already got the replace Gündoğan and Mahrez’s goals.
Under-scorers like Grealish need to step up. He takes far too long to swing his leg back and strike the ball, by the time he’s done it he’s almost always closed down.
Foden is a good goalscorer but will need to step up and score more, and needs to improve his technique with moving his head/eyes away from the ball if he wants to go from 16, 14, 15 goals a season to 23.
Then we’re relying on Kovačić, Palmer, McAtee etc. none of which are 12/17 goals a season players.
But who knows? Sometimes things work out and sometimes things don’t. We might share the 30 goals around the squad evenly and be fine and win the Quadruple, or maybe this will be exactly where we’ll struggle and we’ll win fuck all.
