Who will be the 3rd best player in Mbappé-Haaland era?

Mbappe beating up on Sochaux and Bastia gets him top 3, not for me. Say what you like about Darwin but he at least has the gumption to challenge himself.

Mbappe has been amazing against Man City (as a 17-year-old!!!), Juventus, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern etc. in Champions League. Never mind what Mbappe has done for France.

His outrageous individual talent is undeniable. Mbappe would certainly be just as dominant in Premier League or La Liga. Don't fall in the same trap as others have done with Haaland before he joined Man City.

i don't think Haaland is anywhere near best footballer in the world. He is a fantastic athlete with a specialised skill set and he scores loads of goals. He needs others to provide for him though and I would say, even in our squad, Foden, Bernie, Kev, Gundo are better footballers. Rodri is on a par because he too has a specialised skillset.

Football is about outscoring the opposing team to win games. Goals is by far the most valuable skillset. There's a reason why the best paid footballers happens to be elite goalscorers.

Haaland is the best striker in the world by far and his ridiculous goalscoring numbers is unprecedented. Almost nobody thinks Harry Kane is better than Haaland despite the former is far more well-rounded in comåarison.

Surely now Pele is dead Kane is the world's number one? By the end of the month he will not only have an Audi cup winners medal, but will also have overtaken Jimmy Greaves record tally at spurs. Both achievements that have eluded Messi, CR7 and Haaland.

Mbappé & Haaland are top 3 players in the world alongside with a 35-year-old Messi now.

Although Messi is the best player in the world and likely to win his 8th Ballon d'Or, he'll slow down soon whereas Mbappé & Haaland will continue to be undisputed top 2 players in the world for the next 10-15 years bar career-ending injury. Both will be multi-time winner of Ballon d'Ors and other individual accolades.

But what about the 3rd? There's a lot of contenders from Mbappé-Haaland's generation. Some few examples.

- Bellingham
- Pedri
- Bukayo Saka
- Tchouameni
- Vinicius Jr
- Musiala
I wouldn’t be sure that Haaland is the third best player in the City team never mind the world.

He’s the best goalscorer in the world, but there are better players than him, even in our team I’d say there are four better, certainly technically better.

And how on Earth are Saka and Bellingham in that list and not Foden? He’s better than both of them! What world are you in where you don’t include Foden but do those two?

He needs to up his game a hell of a lot
That statement is so far away from reality.

He’s had one poor start and two inconsequential substitute performances since the World Cup so is a bit rusty due to not playing much. That’s all.

He was among City’s best players in the first ten games of the season where he played 853 of 900 minutes with 6 goals and 3 assists. Since then he’s played 666 minutes of 1,260 and just needs more minutes, he was originally dropped from being picked for every single game for no reason whatsoever.

Even when the entire team were shit against Brentford, he popped up with a goal.

At the moment Lewandowski is in the mix along with Haaland and Mbappe. Messi still deserves conversation right now.

Lewandowski will have 2 or 3 years more till he drops off.

Pedri, Gavi and Foden have to be long-term challengers.
