Way back in the early 70`s my first marriage ended after 11 months,as I went back to an old girlfriend.
My fault entirely and a fairly messy divorce.
The girlfriend I went back to has been my wife now for 40 years next July.Of course we`ve had our ups and downs but nothing serious and delighted with our good luck in raising three superb kids.
We are best friends and hide nothing from one another, good tip, honestly.

Did you tell her about the day you got pissed up, chucked out of the Etihad and then lost your walking stick?

No.But my fucking son enjoyed telling her !! ;)

Lol I love that story, and glad you made theorist choice!!

Been married nearly 7 years. Reckon it'll be for life still. No one else could put up with either of us.

Was the first one a terrible shag? If so, I have immense empathy with this scenario.

Thanks pet.As an add on,from my first marriage we had a baby girl, but my emotions and gut wrenching decision was to let my first wifes second husband, who was one of my old school friends legally adopt Terri when she was 5 years of age.
When she was 17 years of age she told her Mum that she wanted to meet me.She is now 42 years of age and we are in constant touch, have two wonderful grand daughters and my wife treats her no differently than our three kids.
Surprisingly,my first wife and me have become very friendly over the years and when I take my daughter,Terri and my grand daughters out for a meal,I always take my first wife with us.
No problem what soever from my wife of 40 near years.

Ah the art of romance is still alive and kicking.Only on Blue Moon could a question like that be asked.I`m still not telling. ;)
