Who's been married the longest and what's the secret?

41 years married, 3 wonderful children and 4 lovely grandchildren. Think we just grew closer together as time went by. Plenty of rows in the early days usually over lack of money. We have so much in common we like similar things City being one of them. In the beginning we were together for 9 weeks and got married 3 months later. All the old cliche's but a match made in heaven.

Fairplay mate.

Never been married, never been engaged, not that i didnt want too as i would have loved to have had a great missus and 10 kids, but through circumstances its all passed me by. I love women too, they can iron and stuff.

Treasure what you have.

not all women can iron and stuff - i'm crap at it :-)

technically only been married 9 months but been with and living with the wife for 8 years.

The age old jokes of 'do what you're told' etc etc needs to be completely put to bed straight away if you want a relationship to last, IMO.
Nobody should be 'wearing the trousers' (giggity), it has to be equal, that means equal repsect for each other, compromising what you want to do on days off etc. If there is a dominant partner i think it wont last.

Men who let there other halves walk all over them need to grow a pair and women who need to be the dominant partner probably aren't worth bothering with.

PS sorry for the serious answer, i know its not Bluemoon etiquette!

You seem to have it right x

40 years last February

Keep the spark, flowers, listening...
Oh bollocks
Just give up thinking you can win after a couple of years!

Thanks, i like to think so, we never argue, there is no jealousy, we do everything together as best mates would, couldn't be happier!

First one lasted 3 years after 12 years together. Literally broke my heart when she fucked me off and took me a long time to deal with it.

Tubbed mrs ww the 2nd 14 weeks later! On the rebound and after some incredible ups and downs - mainly my fault because I was possibly still hurting and was going through a messy divorce.

7 years on and I was engagement ring shopping with mrs ww today. She is wonderful and my little blended fucked up family is working and I am very happy!

Never thought I would marry again but now I can't wait. ( as for the actual day - that is an argument still to be had!)
