Who's our 4th striker?

Lescott looked more dangerous when he played up front for us.

It worked well enough with him just off the striker in the European Champions back yard last season?

I am not doubting he is a good attacking midfielder.

Spain won the Euros with Silva playing as their furthest forward player.

21 posts and not one person has mentioned Hiwula. Sad.

Maybe if he was called Jordinho Hiwulio he would be getting a mention.

He's one of the top goalscorers in the country at his age, how will we know if he isn't given a chance? At the same age the chairman of Dzeko's team thought he had won the lottery when Teplice paid £25k for him, look at how good he has become.

Is it just me who is wondering why there is such a panic at only having 3 genuine strikers?

Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic
Costa, Remy, Drogba
Giroud, Podolski, Welbeck
Sturridge, Balotelli, Lambert
Falcao, van Persie, Rooney

Nobody else has 4 strikers, so why the worry? I get the whole "but Aguero & Jovetic are injury prone", but so are Costa, Remy and van Persie. Then you have Falcao coming off the back of a serious injury, Rooney not the same player, Giroud out for a third of the season and only backed up by Podolski & Welbeck, and Chelsea are left with an ageing Drogba.

Why are you talking sense? That isn't the point of bluemoon is it?

We've said this before and it always turns out to be very disappointing e.g. Bradley wright Philips.

He could turn out to be world class but sticking him into the first team at such a young age could destroy his confidence. He needs a season on loan somewhere and then maybe get into the first team next season.

Silva was a revelation playing in the Messi false 9 role against Scotland a couple of years back.

Silva is let down by two attributes: finishing and acceleration/pace. otherwise he could make a great false nine but he would still need goal-scoring runners on the flanks.
