Why after today has Mancini lost the fans?

I will support Mancini and all our players as I always do, but sometimes I wish we had attacking players who can keep possession and actually play like one of most expensive teams do, and not try playing for 0:0 against all top teams while getting dominated

Why after today has Mancini lost the fans?

36 years and I'm still here.

I've seen all kinds of abject shite and flashes of brilliance along the way. I've demanded the heads of player and manager a like and what changed, what did it achieve, what did it win?

Sum total of f*ck all.

Given Mancini's pedigree, some of the talent we have in the team and a full season for them all almost out of the way, I am more than happy to give them an opportunity to exceed my wildest expectations next season.

I have never had a 'gut feeling' about any manager being the right manager for us before - not even with Keegan who had us playing some scintilating football in the Championship. I don't know why, but I get it with Mancini.

Stand fast Blues and keep the faith.

I think Mancini is the right guy...
He has a good enough squad and there has been a number of occasions this season he has been ranting and raving on the sidelines to the team to step up a gear and get forward.

Why because we lost at Stamford Bridge is it suddenly a big deal? A lot of teams go there to halt a loss and it is a hard place to play. Looking at last season everyone built up a belief that we should always win there and that isn't the case.

My only criticism is that his substitutions are sometimes left too late to make a big enough impact. How can someone change a game in 5 minutes?

Tell me how Chelsea can be so far off the pace, but still retain belief, yet we dull expectation.

Great point Tolmie. Chelsea are ONE point ahead of us and Carlo and players are saying that their title push is back on. Mancini, on the other hand, is saying we're too tired but fingers crossed we might win some of the last 8 games.

The players need inspiration and dogged determination from the manager, NOT bloody excuses and pre-explanations for failure.

Correct. As soon as I heard him utter the phrase 'the players are tired', I suspected we were in the shit. Even a lowly line manager in a small company knows that you don't hand your staff an excuse for failure because they'll take it. When confronted they'll simply say 'didn't you hear what the boss said? We're tired'. I'm sure Mancini knows this, so why say it? Seems to me he's thinking more about his own situation than what's best for the team, and that's worrying.

I've been a Mancini Fan until tonight. Terrible TERRIBLE football. For 80 minutes we looked ragged and negative. The first 10 minutes were the only good part and what did we do then? We tried to score! We took the game to them and put them on the back foot.

You don't win leagues by playing negatively. Not in any sport. You have to want to win every game and be 'happy' with a draw, not try to draw.

Get rid of him and bring someone in who actually wants to win.

Well said mate. By constantly telling us the players are 'tired' deflects attention from his apparent lack of ability to motivate and inspire them to play more attractive and ultimately more ambitious football that actually achieves things.

I lost faith when Ireland was sold. It's not a popular stance but I think that was when I knew he couldn't really develop raw yet volatile talent. Robinho had already gone in similar fashion, we've since seen a flight of strikers and nearly lost Tevez. Those left or who came in look increasingly more frustrated. From an attacking perspective we are atrocious. Cole and Vassell were better.

Also when Ireland left there was the sinking feeling that our roots were not really important. Thankfully Micah has developed enough to stay but there's precious little else.

All in all I don't like or trust Mancini. If he had delivered I'd have been turned easily but he hasn't.

Funny you should say that, because I've never had a stronger gut feeling that a manager was the wrong one for us. I've had that feeling for well over 12 months.

replace that name to bellamy and thats when i lost faith

(p.s i know he is on loan before anyone says , but i cant see him coming back)

So frustrating watching this side at the moment.

We've had glimpses of great performances especially Fulham away but our season is slowly going down the toilet. Our away form is shocking too. Look at the form guide we are slipping down it at an alarming rate. We've pissed points away like a cheap whore too.

I honestly dont think we'll come top 4 now either and I've been a great admirer of Bobby but he's now lost me. I need a beer.
