Why are you a City fan?

didnt have a choice it's a birthright in our family , five generations of blues , one of the many things my old fella got right , he took me to Maine Road instead of the Swamp , and i am eternally grateful , our current success is so much sweeter after all the false dawns over the last 30 odd years , City till i die ? , absolutely

Does it actually matter how you became a blue?

The main thing is that you've been exalted into a supreme degree which is that of being a Manchester City fan.

My first game was in 1966, the last time I saw the blues was the last home match. Thats all that matters!!

To be honest, I don't know how and why i fall in love with City. Maybe at some point in 2008. You may call me glory hunter or plastic, simply i don't care. What i care about City. When we won FA cup i was in my home and i danced like a 5/6 years old kid for a long time. When we won the title in 2012 i was in the university hostel. When kun fired that shot, i cried a lot. Don't know why, maybe because of Love, Passion or Pure Emotion. Whenever i got the opportunity i never missed a single City match. I completed my graduation in august of 2014. Before that it was very easy for me to watch a City match on TV or internet. In our country it's GMT +6. Most of the CL matches and some PL matches in December/January used to start at 1.45 am or 2 am. Even, i had a class at next morning on 8 am, i never missed any matches. Now, I am doing a job in software farm as Programmer. I have very tight schedule to maintain. But i try my best not to miss any city match. I missed the Sevilla away match because i had to wake up early next morning. But next day i downloaded the whole match and watched it twice. That's how my life is going on. There's lots of ups and downs in life. No matter what, when i watch a City match i forget everything except the match. When we win i feel very happy and there is inner peace. When we lose i feel gutted, really gutted. That's the feeling you can't buy it at any price. You may also wonder hearing that i live in Bangladesh, a very poor and small country near INDIA. That's my long story. Sorry for my English, as it' not good as you.

I prefer to say "welcome new supporter" rather than glory hunter/plastic supporter.
and your English is very good!

I grew up on a street where all the other kids were either rags or dippers and I just never felt any affinity to those. One day I saw Peter Barnes on tv and he was just like me - a blond haired left winger and I wanted to be him. My dad bless him, even though he is a rag he took me to a city game (1979 home to Wolves) and the first time I walked up those steps and saw that pitch it was like "Oh fucking yes!!!" We won 3-1 that day and it was the perfect day. He took me to United games too after that and we would go on coach trips to United games organised by the school but I just never felt the same at their games. There was just "something" at Maine Road that felt like family to me. I had to eat a lot of shit from kids in the street cos we seemed to lose all the time to United and Liverpool but I didn't care, City was in my blood. That's why that Aguero moment meant so much and others will just never understand.

1961 the old man was a Spurs fan,he took me to see the great double winning side at Maine Road.
He thought, that his son would see a great team and become a Spurs fan
City thrashed them 6-2,I was hooked.
The best thing,he ever did for me
