Why do you support City ?

My dad is a red and he took me to OT when i was 3 or 4 (94/95), funnily enough i decided after it i didnt like football and would refuse to go, i'd only play it on the street with my mate (was never any good though), when i was 9 (00/01) my uncle and grandad would take me to Maine Road, since then i decided i love football and ive been going city ever since, never looked back. My dad was a blue when he was a kid but for some reason he started going to the swamp with his mates when he went to high school (i think he hurt his head sometime back then) so it's in the blood.

Because they aren't Manchester Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea. Everyone here goes for them.

Actually I purposefully chose them, at the time, because they were average and I had to pick a team.

I grew up near COMS in the sixties , and most of my street mates back then were City fans .... as they were at my local primary school too ...... so once my dad took me to my first game at Maine Road in 1969 , as a 12 year old , that was it ........ it was never in doubt after that , as i loved the place.

I did watch both Manchester teams on the odd occasion , over the next couple of years , as i by that time lived halfway between the two grounds in Hulme ...... but City are 'infectious' , and were never gonna lose the fight.

I'd have been kicked out of the house if I'd supported anyone else as a kid.

It's in the blood Grandad and Dad both City thru and thru. Most of extended family rags and I grew up on the Wirral having Liverpool and Everton's success thrown at me. Even at my Uncle's funeral who was lifelong rag we sent skyblue and white flowers! I was 4 yrs old last time we won a trophy 35yrs and were still ere! CTID.
