i stopped going for half a season the day after we beat ipswich one tuesday night to go top of the old 1st division. i was feed up of the turgid shite i was watching it hurt me not to go more than it hurt city or bill taylor who had us player shite to watch football.

The point all the massive fans are missing is people aren't pissed off because we're not winning every game - that would be ridiculous wouldn't it? It's because we have a manager who can't set up a team correctly, can't choose the right personal and the result is long, drawn out turgid football. We're not the plucky under achievers in our neighbours shadow anymore, we're supposedly the best in the country and yet week after week we're let down by a group of players who don't seem to give half the fucks that the fans do.

Watched City play some shite over the years. Some players working at their own level, a few who shone out in teams that were poor. The sad fact now, is we have the potential and individual talent on the pitch to be collectively so much more. It doesn't make me weep but it frustrates the shit out of me.

top post. If I'd just landed on this planet I'd think we'd lost to Gillingham & were heading out if the conference.

To then discover that this season , we'd already won one of the 3 trophies, were in 1/4 finals of CL ( which we have NOT lost yet) and getting Pep in 3 months......

Regardless of whether we win lose or draw I'm sure most blues will give 100% support to the players as long as they give 100% too.
Been a weird season in many ways..cant beat any of the top 6, yet we are still 4th for now and we have won a trophy and in last 8 of champs league.
As the op says next season will hopefully make us forget about this season...but we definitely need to be in the top 4. CTID

I don't expect guaranteed wins as suggested. What I do expect is at least some level of effort from the players and some appreciation from the club towards the fans who have shown so much loyalty over the years.

In my opinion, I would blame only Bony and Yaya for the level of "effort" they put in. Silva's effort has also gone down but he is forced to play through pain so he gets a pass mark from me. I wouldn't blame Sterling, Navas, Fernando, Clichy, Kolarov for lack of effort. They are just not that great in whatever roles they do. The bulk of the criticism is on the manager not doing his job properly. He has so much experience and yet looks clueless on what tactics/squad he needs to implement.
