Why do you weep.

Wouldnt say its wheeping, just dissapointing how far we've come and how much of a different image we are to see the likes of Toure, Silva, Sterling and Bony, Demi etc putting in minimal effort and playing with less bollocks than the likes of Goater, Dickov, Mills etc

I just don't think the couple of days following a derby defeat is the best time for "all is rosy" type posts. It hurts seeing them twats celebrate in our own back yard. Had it been a one off then it may have been easier to forget, but the season, on the whole has not been great by any stretch - shiny trophy included.

You'll no doubt be called a happy clapper for your post but I think you're bang on

Some fans have forgotten our past within a few seasons..think we are entitled to win every game and cry like bitches when we don't

Personally I wouldn't give a fuck if we were relegated..I'd still be here..yet here we are..4th in the table..last 8 of the CL and a cup already in the bag

Woe is fucking me

I've been exactly the same as you, but we need to stop being so small time. That's not what City should be doing.

Someone told me a decent analogy the other day - the old City was like a player who had a famous Dad. All the success was in a different era and he was plodding along on his own career never likely to win much but still loved by his fans. Then one day a rich man gave him the best tools possible to improve his ability and improve his career. He had two options. Option 1 was to still be happy being inconsistent but winning a bit more than he ever thought possible. Option 2 was to strive to be the best. Accept no failure and question all negative performances.

This forum tries to suggest that anyone who moans is a "new" fan who is behaving like a rag - spoilt. Then you have those who are just happy with the fact we've got a trophy this season - still a big achievement and we're in the quarters of the CL. They can't believe how far City have come.

For me, we can't accept this season. I love that we've won a trophy. But it's the league cup. Unfortunately, we have to think bigger than that. We might have progressed further in the CL. But we're not closer to winning the CL. We're poorer now than we've been since Hughes time at the club. Except we're more likely to lose than draw.

I get that we've come on one hell of a journey and things are still great. I'll love the club no matter what, but we've got to mirror the clubs ambition now. It shouldn't be performing so poorly and we shouldn't be happy that it is.

For me its part of supporting the most unpredictable team in football. Who else could blow the league then win it again 5mins later, especially with them twats thinking they'd won it. The list goes on with City over the years and makes us what we are today. Sounds mad saying we've had a disappointing season with a pot already in the bag, and getting to the QF in Europe. Bottom line is, we have under achieved for the last two seasons given our squad and resources. Poor team tactics, player performances and injuries have all contributed to this.
Unlike years gone by when we would just stick a plaster over the problem and hope for the best, we are now in a position whare we will be appointing the best manager in the world. Every team has a shelf life and it's time for the next phase with Pep.
I've definitely mellowed over the years watching City, me dad on the other hand, he's all picture and no sound for days after we've lost.

Sent off phone apologies for font size.

What then has happened to our magnificent support
Every time we approach difficult times we seem to self impload !
Did you join Manchester City for glory or where you here for the full duration.
I have never witnessed such abject negativity.
Did you join to expect guaranteed win after win /
If so then you are at the wrong side of the spectrum
The rags expect all and everything before them and will accept nothing less.
Ragishness I believe it is called

Is this what we have all become in this hailstorm of success;
Who gives a flying fook if our team loses.
Who gives a flying fook if we should succumb in the heat of battle;
We never win at home and we never win away we lost last week and we lost today !
Bonies a cnunt silvas past it Pelagrinis a cnunt Martin is useless
Yes you can rip the piss out of our 3 million stopgap but point the blame of derision firmly at the club
not at Martin. An old old old man sent in to prop up the unpropabale.

I am sick of listing to the whines off my brothers in arms.
If you don't want to support the club then fook off...simple is simple as ;
I love my club truly I do and want nothing but success but is that feasible is it the real world.
Why can we not all enjoy this magnificent ride we are partaking off.
On an away trip I saw a banner at Salzsburg overhanging the river Saltash and it said
"Some might say we will find a brighter day"
Until that day arrives please enjoy this ride and if it's not to be then so be it eh so why do you all weep !

Forever City and bless our dear dear dear club !
CTID

Thankyou for this post... someone who know's what a gloryhunter really is, some **** on the official youtube had the gall to say I'm a gloryhunter for defending our team against shitty ref decisions in games we could have easily have had more points in. But nope "our home wins have been fake results, we deserved every loss we've taken by better teams" I'm sure he's a rag but part of me thinks theres this culture on the internet of wanting to sound impartial and well rounded(posing basically) to the point where you sound worse than our rivals... England national team has had it for years. It does nothing but create bad vibes that eventually impact on the team.

Also I think part of it can be put down the pressure thats put on us from outside the club(especially high and mighty Spurs and Arsenal fans), looking at how much we've spent and what we've achieved on a per season basis but I say if Leicester win it a lot of fans will rightly have to shut the fuck up and stop pretending they're something they are not because most of them are far far closer to us than them in terms of what they've spent.

Currently 4th in the league, one cup in hand..and in the last 8 of the CL..if that's 'fucking awful' you've got problems mate

'Fucking Awful' is Aston Villa currently

We have spent a shit load of money, a shit load more than Villa might I add so it needs to be taken into context or do you want to go as far as saying it's alright we could be Altrincham? The investment we have had our expectations should be the very top level. I would say the majority can handle defeat but cant accept the performances this season.

We are meant to be challenging to win the league
We have beaten 1 team in the top 9 of the premier league - fucking awful
We have already lost in the league 9 times - fucking awful
We are playing with no direction, game plan or clue - fucking awful
Whilst no one can predict where we will finish it would take the most optimistic blue to think we can get top 4 off current form - fucking awful
I enjoyed the league cup, enjoyed Wembley, we played a 9th place team in the final and had great luck with the draw. You can only beat what's in front of you but if you want to use that triumph to paper over the cracks of this season then fill your boots.
Champions league - Doing well, topped the group due to Juventus failures and had we not then we all know we wouldn't be in the quarters now. I'm glad we are however the way we are playing we aren't going to beat any of the teams left are we.

Does that include leaving between five and ten minutes early on Derby Day!

If people feel as though they're not getting their money's worth/not being entertained or just want to get home early then it's up to them what they do as they're the ones paying at the end of the day.

People leaving early has been the norm at City for years, I've known it for as long as I've supported them (20 years) and my dad before me (50+ years) I seriously don't know why people still feel the need to address the situation now as it will never change....... ever!

Sorry OP, but...
Suicidal selections and tactics from an inept manager make my brain hurt.
Players who can't be arsed trying for the team also make my brain hurt.
Both currently apply.
I'll still support City though - but it doesn't mean I have to enjoy my brain hurting, and demand to ask for more, because I'm not a f*cking idiot!

Some people always left early and some people always got behind the team on Derby Day - regardless of the performance on the pitch. That ended on Sunday and we may never get that passion back!

It was the lack of support on Sunday for the team that surprised me. Yes I know there were a few die hards in the Singing Section who gave their all and the occasional chant in other parts of the ground during the last 80 minutes of the game.

Each to their own as you say and we al know the players are overpaid. For myself I would rather have 20,000 Blues in the ground getting behind the team then 50,000 with their hands in their pockets!

It would be great if the lads produced a stellar performance every week but we are on a poor run of form when the team need our help!

I find your comment on the lack of passion and support quite ironic really, not against what you say but the fact I literally just said this about the players to a friend on Facebook (who happens to support United by the way).... I mentioned that this season has been an absolute shambles for English football, you look at any club.... United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Leicester, Liverpool, City... any club in the premier league..... and you go through each club and probably only 2 or 3 players (give or take) give a damn about their respected club that they represent.

Few weeks back when we played Liverpool in the Final once we won not a single Liverpool player looked THAT arsed and I emphasise the word THAT because that final defeat didn't really hurt them as it would have Gerrard as he would have been heartbroken not just a bit gutted.... Anyway the players felt a bit gutted went dressing room and probably 30-40 minutes later thought right onto the next game... Just like at City now probably only Hart being the guarantee and possibly Zaba and Kompany the rest wouldn't really be THAT arsed if we failed to win the league or even finish out the top 4, it's nothing to do with the money they're being paid or that they don't support City or never have done as players like Gerrard/Henry/Beckham never supported their respected clubs until they developed a love for that said club when playing for them. My friend agreed until I mentioned Rooney at United probably not being that arsed (them not finishing top 4) he replied "I think it'd hurt Rooney and Carrick, as for the rest I don't think they'd be too arsed".

My passion for football is dying rapidly this season and I can tell as I haven't attended most home games this season (even though I'm still a season card holder), I'm never bothered about missing a home game (I went 10 years only missing 1 home game cup games included) granted I have been preoccupied with other things in my life but whilst this has happened I've noticed a massive decline in player passion also..... Players are buzzing when they're on top I mean look at Leicester players now but last season majority of these guys weren't arsed if Leicester went down and their performances proved that.

It's shown this season especially with the struggling team which players really care, I'll go back to City with the incident between Hart and Yaya vs Kiev where Hart started shouting at Yaya (for probably being lazy taking in consideration that Yaya was the captain as well even though Hart is Vice-Captain) minutes later Yaya goes on one of his infamous bulldozing runs....

I'll just say this is my post

I don't accept the suggestion that only 'one or two' players are under-performing, It's deeper than that. Strong successful teams are able to perform well under adverse and less than premium conditions. Very rarely will a team field 11 players that are all at the maximum peak of fitness, ability and skill.

A team plan that capitulates if only one or two players don't pull their weight could be considered naive at best, suicidal at worst.

Excellent post mate, and a lot of truth

Theres a Malaise in the EPL. Ive recently started watching Rugby League here in Oz, the worlds elite RL league, and even though these guys are salary capped and earn a pittance next to someone like Nasri the passion is there to see.

Why compare us with villa? Entirely different?
Remind me of villas squad. Remind me of how much villa have spent. Remind me of the ambitions of villa's board.

Believe me, the city board won't be saying "don't worry lads, at least we aren't villa".

For our ambitions and resources we have been woeful, and gone so far backwards from a few years ago. To be disappointed about that doesn't make us spoilt.

We have all seen us in the "bad old days", but just because we have been there, it doesn't mean we should be satisfied with current performances.
