Why does MH keep bringing up the past?

some people wont rest till MH is out of the club

purely and simply because he is an ex red player.....

there is no question he is taking the club in the right direction both on and off the pitch......

but there are fans who will have no patience because of his past.

some people need to get a grip and grow up....we are playing better football than we did under sven, we have lost one game all season and have played 3 out of the big 4 (I do think chelski will beat us but they will beat virtually every team in the league this season at least once if not twice)

even the players are saying the training is better under MH than it was under sven or are we not going to listen to players like Ireland and Ned

He has brough in a class of player that is not only good but have a real desire to win as does the manager himself

Give the guy a break and lets not de stabalise the club as some fans have been doing for the last 30-40 yrs!!!!!

Hughes took over Sven's team, bought new players for £120 million in his first season, but still finished lower in the league with fewer points than Sven did. Simple facts.

Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. Last season was almost unprecedented in terms of player upheaval so I think it's fair to say that there are mitigating circumstances behind our finishing position. You could argue that it was the same for Sven too when he came in as manager, and that's fair enough. However, for one reason or another, we got worse under Sven as the season progressed. With Hughes, we appear to be progressing forwards after an inconsistent season last time out - okay, we've stagnated somewhat with this recent run of draws but I'm backing him to get us back to winning ways before too long, starting with this weekend.

Barring a complete disaster (ie: relegation), every manager deserves at least 2 full seasons at a club IMO. That should be enough time for him to impose his own management style on the club and achieve some kind of progress in terms of league position compared to the previous incumbent. Let's see where we are in May before passing judgement on Hughes - it's a marathon, not a sprint.

If you cant see the difference between the club 2 years ago and the club now, the direction we are going then thats fine mate. Keep acting like the spoilt child. We've become shit since Hughes arrived? You'd call us shit now? Get a grip

You'd think after 40 years you would have some patience and actually some understanding of what it takes to become a top side.

Another newly arrogant City fan. Marvellous

I've know Nimrod for a few years, he's hardly a new City fan so GROW THE FUCK UP!

I think you need to read again what he posted - he never said he was a new City fan, just newly arrogant. Which, sadly, is something a fair few of our lot have been guilty of since Sheikh Mansour bought us last year.

There's a very simple explanation to that. The squad was very, very thin (it cost £250 million less than the one we have now) so injuries hit us extrtemely hard.

Well, you have had a go, no tactical analysis or structure, but a list of points.

ok, here we go

ok,When we are 3-2 up against Burnley he brings on Petrov because he said he felt the game was won(his quote) That's right bringing on an attacking player is always disappointing. But hey, lets forget the ball was headed off the line at 3-2, and clearly Hughes is responsible for a defensive error.

He is responsible for the whole defense,he bought every single one of them. Yes the signings of Richards and Onuoha were inspired.

He is responsible for the defensive coaching as he hired Mark Bowen. So the players never make mistakes, that's good Hughes, has signed perfect players, surely a feather in his cap.

He's bought a crock in Santa cruz. I wonder how he passed his medical. Very good observation.

He sold Dunne who is arguably our best defender in the last 10 years. Is that because he is our only defender to play for the last 10 years or because the guy was making mistakes, for example, stood like a statue when the ball flew over his head for France to Ireland out of the world cup?

They are 2 point worse off than under sven after 12 games. With a game in hand and a 6-0 defeat to Chelsea and 8-1 drumming off someone else to look forward to.

His style of play is Blackburn's long ball take two. What like the build up to Ireland's goal on Saturday or many of the other worked goals we have scored.

Again the list could go on and on but dosn't, because you ran out of steam.

Just wait and see at the end of the season, when were not in the top 4 after nearly 250m spent, which im sure you will find more than acceptable. I will wait until the end of the season and make judgement then, meanwhile i will back my team and manager, and hopefully he will do something no other City manager since Tony Book did in 1977 and finish in the top 4.

Its not just one defensive error now is it in all honesty??burnley was just a case in point.

So he didnt buy zabaleta, toure, lescott, bridge??of course not

Your comment about bowen and defensive errors is beyond ridiculous

I also wonder how he passed his medical so thats something we agree on

So you wouldnt swap dunne for lescott from what youve seen??

i said after 12 games, forget games in hand

i never said long balls dont create goal but i feel playing the long ball for 3/4 of the match isnt the way to go.
as you say we score well worked goals when we play decent football

i also hope we finish in the top 4 but with constant negative tactics i cant see it.

So he didnt buy zabaleta, toure, lescott, bridge??of course not. So we only have four defenders? That's not ALL the defenders is it? And Neddy didn't play second half?

Your comment about bowen and defensive errors is beyond ridiculous. It merely highlighted the ridiculous statement you made.

as you say we score well worked goals when we play decent football. Oh! so we do play decent football? Or is that only when the 11 professionals on the other side of the pitch cant be arsed?

i also hope we finish in the top 4 but with constant negative tactics i cant see it. You can't see past Hughes fella. That is the problem. Give it a break and let him get on with it. If we finished 7th Whats happens? He gets sacked and a new manager comes in. Your happy. If we get in the top 4, surely you are happy.

The thing is fella, football doesn't end in May 2010. Whether you or I want Hughes, we cannot lose. If a new manager comes in, Hiddinck, Mourinho or whoever, City still carry on. If we get in the top 4, great, surely everyone is happy.
