Why has Jo been allowed back?

I remember that. I just don't remember ever being told how it happened. He'd be a fool if he's going off the rails so soon. He can't be anywhere near the premier leagues big earners and surely he has ambitions of being up there with them. And he couldn't be at a better place to achieve that. I mean in terms of his career he's only just stepped on the bottom rung of the ladder. If he's not doing his damnedest to climb that ladder then he's a fool and a waster.

I can't be arsed looking up old threads, but I remember amongst all the excitement when we signed Jo, many stories on this forum, of the stuff he'd had to put up with in Russia, from a Racial abuse perspective, and the character he's shown to come through it.

Perhaps Mancini, has seen that in him, and told him to dig in and prove himself again?

So he shows the manager repsect and is prepared to listen and work at his game and gets his chance...the problem is?

What a great example for the younger lads in stark contrast to Bellamy starting week in week out last season and showing the manager no respect whatsoever.

I have seen little in Jo up to now which makes me think he will be a long-term star for us but he's a young lad who now seems to have a renewed work ethic. Let's see how it pans out a little before we cut our losses.

When quality strikers are having a lean patch, at least you get a whiff of there being some quality somewhere. Some hint that they know what they are doing, but that they are just having a lean spell. The ball may not be going in the net, but you might see their pace, or skill or runs or how they find space, or *something*.

Every time I watch Jo, I wonder what on earth is this idiot doing on the field. A view Jo seems to share, judging by his facial expression and watching him standing around stationary in the area when the ball comes across. It's like we've dropped Big Bird from Seasamy Street onto the pitch. Where am I? What am I doing here?

I am just amazed Mancini keeps playing Jo, but there must be some reason and it can't be football.

I share your concerns but the lad is young and Mancini might just think his faith may be repaid.

It will come to a point when, if there is no sign of improvement, he will have to be told that he is no longer wanted.

I can remember The Goat getting booed you see and look how that turned out. I can wait a little while yet.
