Why I want Hughes out and it’s not because of results

It will take time boys

Thing is and this puzzles me. Sven was only here 10 months and yet had such a profound impact that Hughes is still struggling 10 months on to irradicate the 'Sven' effect. You say he 'demands discipline' yet this has not exactly manifested itself on or off the pitch. Its a curious one. A bit like Hughes teams are always fitter than other teams yet 'we were tired' is a favourite excuse. Last night some of the team looked totaly shagged and Elano was substitued because (apparently) he was exhausted despite having not played much over the previous weeks.

Odd isn't it?

We have to not only get behind this guy a little bit(he is the first city Manager I can remember when we have not chanted his name, and in a way I agree as he is ex red)

Thing is though from snipets I have heard this guy has ripped up the Sven rules(who some people think is the best thing since Alan Ball. RIP)

Agreed mate, he should definitely have his name sung though, the EX RED angle is small minded and petty...........never bothered us with players such as terry cooke and schmiechel......not sure too many rags give a shit that matt busby played for city either!

Law and Busby united legends - ex city
Billy Meredith - sold as we were the first club caught for bungs

Tell you something that may or may be not interesting to you
My Grandad who lived in Salford (and fought in the war - defensively equipped merchant ships)

He went to every home game (in other words city & united games)

After Munich when Bolton paraded the cup out of respect for the Busby babes and the United fans threw bricks at the coach, it was Man City all the way.

Including the 4-3 at Newcastle when we won the title (even though Sunderland beat Man U)

My dad was at the game and also went to gornik and the 2 cup finals in the great years

I want that to but we will not get it by nobheads who think it will come very quickley

Thing is and this puzzles me, people have conveniently forgotten just how low we had sunk in the latter half of last season, on and off the pitch!
They also bang on about tiredness but forget the 16 extra games in Europe meaning a lot of midweek games and the fact that we started in July!
Elano was absolutely knackered because he never stopped running for the time he was on, something he cannot always be accused of!

Odd isn't it? :)

Not in the least bit odd. Some people focus on the good bits and some on the bad bits. Just depends on which agenda you are pushing. Last season was last season. It was good in parts and tailed off badly in the end. It is over. It has joined the other seasons in the sky. it has danced it last dance and sang its last song. Sven is history.

We are now 10 months into this season and we have had a litany of excuses from wait until Hughes puts his stamp on the team to wait until he gets his players (that'll put Sven's workshy lot to shame) via Hughes team will come good and finish strong you wait and see.

Now its he needs until Christmas and he'll clear out this and sign that and a full preseason (what like the last one with the boot camp?) yada, yada and so we get to Christmas and well we had better keep him on because its too close to January and we did perform well in our last game...damn its like "Nightmare On Groundhog Day" but without the laughs.

Just thinking around that time when at the beehive against Liverpool was the most weird atmosphere ever

A sort of gallows humour hung around the place, and I am sure that day that Liverpool were trying to let us win

We hit the post twice if I remember correctly
