Why I want Hughes out and it’s not because of results

Re: Why I want Hughes out and it’s not because of results

Un-real!
And if you "don't really care what anyone says" why enter into a discussion about it.
Oh come on, FFS, that's a figure of speech.

Dear God.

Meldrew whilst you wait for Pam’s answer, although it looked to me as though she gave an answer to you in her last post. Let me ask you one as you like questions. My original post suggested that with the games we have left 9 to 12 points would be a reasonable target for a team with the players we have. Do you agree and what will your view of the manager be if we only get 8 points?

Bossman I saw Pam's answer but still not clear whether Pam booed or got behind the team!

If we get 8 points so be it, will be a disappointment but honestly in my heart of heart's I know Hughes will change this around given time and money, we have a endless amount of it and money does talk. If given this time, Hughes will bring in the type of players he has already Zabs, Kompany, De Jong, Bellamy etc. The type of players I admire, who fight for the club and strive too succeed! Then and only then, at the end of next season if we don't see improvement, a re-shuffle would be appropriate!

Take heart Pam – have you noticed that the only response from pro Hughes posters has been abuse or personal attacks on the anti Hughes posters. It just demonstrates that they have no argument other than the very noble but misplaced one of supporting Hughes because he is the current manager.

erm I havn't resorted to personal abuse whatsoever, I have asked Pam to clarify the points in my earlier post, and enquired if "she doesnt care what anyone says" why she enters into a discussion, after all this is a forum and by definition is a place to exchange views. And by the way I am neither pro nor anti Hughes, I am just sick of the negativity.

oh and while were on the issue of personal abuse

No i fucking didn't, you idiot. WTF is the matter with you people.

I really dont get this mindset of not giving Blackburn what they wanted. If Hughes wanted RSC as his number one target then we have the money so pay it. Everyone stop thinking so what if we pay 10million over the top, its just the same as paying 1million over the top when your skint like weve done loads of times in the past. He should have slapped the money down January 1st and if it was refused then looked elsewhere, if we want to be taken as serious challengers and send a message then weve got to stop pussy-footing around the market like kids in a sweet shop and look professional and get to to grips with it. Does anyone not think that 18m to Hamburg for De Jong was paying way over the odds, but Hughes must have wanted him enough. If he would have been a Blackburn player it would have been interesting to know would we have give them 18m for him.

Have you considered that perhaps our owners, despite their wealth, won't be taken for mugs. Just a thought not a dig.

Yes I have and we'll never know the answer so for arguements sake lets say they did hold back but if they wanna talk about 100m for Kaka then maybe when they knew they weren't getting him they could at that point have supported what their manager wanted whom they're supposedly backing to the hilt and maybe just maybe have been rewarded with a Uefa cup semi final this morning? I repeat if we're gonna pay 18m for a defensive holding midfielder then FFS surely we're expecting to pay double for a goalscorer?

fair point, perhaps the sums reported for Kaka have ahad such an unreasonable impact on other transfer dealings. There is of course the chance that Hughes and the Owners agreed on a limit for Roque bidding but we will never know. There is maybe an issue about the 18m for a defensive mid, as I understand this figure is what has been speculated and not confirmed, either way, De Jong is young and already a great player, Roque is not so young, injury prone and potentially a one season wonder, I absolutely contest (personally) he is anywhere near BBurns valuation and I for one would have laughed at BFS shortly before hanging up on him.

Re: Why I want Hughes out and it’s not because of results

Meldrew thanks for your response (below) but what makes you think he can turn the results round with more of his buys? In some of the games we have played more than half the team were bought by Hughes and the other half were players good enough to get us into the top half last season. So if we do not get at least 9 points from the remaining games we will have progressed no further despite millions being spent. And no one has yet told me why Gelson even gets on the subs bench never mind the pitch.

If we get 8 points so be it, will be a disappointment but honestly in my heart of heart's I know Hughes will change this around given time and money, we have a endless amount of it and money does talk.
