So it was an okay decision to have no plan B in terms of bringing a striker in during the last window. Why the fuck did it have to be RSC or bust? And I don't care what anyone says, the UEFA Cup was winnable and it wouldn't have taken much to bring in a couple of strikers to help us get the job done. What a waste.

Did we not try, would you have been happy to have given Blackburn all that cash for Roque, if not Roque who else should we have bought, name names and they will get picked off because its fact that rarely do very good players change clubs in January. And if you "don't really care what anyone says" why enter into a discussion about it.

I really dont get this mindset of not giving Blackburn what they wanted. If Hughes wanted RSC as his number one target then we have the money so pay it. Everyone stop thinking so what if we pay 10million over the top, its just the same as paying 1million over the top when your skint like weve done loads of times in the past. He should have slapped the money down January 1st and if it was refused then looked elsewhere, if we want to be taken as serious challengers and send a message then weve got to stop pussy-footing around the market like kids in a sweet shop and look professional and get to to grips with it. Does anyone not think that 18m to Hamburg for De Jong was paying way over the odds, but Hughes must have wanted him enough. If he would have been a Blackburn player it would have been interesting to know would we have give them 18m for him.

I always got the impression that the owners weren't having it. Just a guess, though.

Meldrew whilst you wait for Pam’s answer, although it looked to me as though she gave an answer to you in her last post. Let me ask you one as you like questions. My original post suggested that with the games we have left 9 to 12 points would be a reasonable target for a team with the players we have. Do you agree and what will your view of the manager be if we only get 8 points?

Bossman I saw Pam's answer but still not clear whether Pam booed or got behind the team!

If we get 8 points so be it, will be a disappointment but honestly in my heart of heart's I know Hughes will change this around given time and money, we have a endless amount of it and money does talk. If given this time, Hughes will bring in the type of players he has already Zabs, Kompany, De Jong, Bellamy etc. The type of players I admire, who fight for the club and strive too succeed! Then and only then, at the end of next season if we don't see improvement, a re-shuffle would be appropriate!

Why is it we have the biggest moaners on here about the manager, having heard all the anti Hughes comments on the radio i cannot believe we want a change again.

He will get it right, can you not understand that we have have got rid of managers for the fun of it and i bet you thought Pearce and Sven were fantastic

Never read so much shit, why dont all you moaners go and support County and watch some real shit, I say again if Jose came in and had a shit 9-10 months do we sack him, and also dont forget who has he attracted to INTER i think nobody

You miss the point, I am and many others are not moaners but wish to see a manager in place that take the club into the Champions League and challenge.

I do not think the he has the ability to manage at team at the level required.

To be fair I don't think we should have got rid of Sven, I know he failed at Mexico, but who knows what he could of achieved if given an unprecedented second season in charge.with an unprecedented amount of cash to spend

After what 8 months, you can honestly say this after 8 months ??? I too want progression, a trophy or two but time has PROVED that clubs in England don't tend to win trophy's when they employ a revolving door policy to management. Site Chelsea all you want bu they were ALREADY a champs league team containing Lampard Terry J Cole etc.

Damn it, I'm agreeing with de niro. Anyway, as far as I'm aware, RSC wasn't even fit to play last night, although that does make you wonder why MH wanted him in the first place [would he have even passed the medical?].
