" Thanks City for the best and worst times of my life but life is too short. "

What a statement :) , and I think fortunately & unfortunately it feels right.

So this is my last post. 55 years after my first match seeing City. 10 years a season ticket holder 1985 to 1995 until work and family took me too far away. I was there in 2012 and was there for that Tuart goal. Been to many but not all recent cup finals.
I have been vocal about VAR, CAS and FFP.
So, today I have decided I have fallen out of love with this game, the trolls on this forum and the corruption hiding in plain sight both financial and governance. Refereeing and game manipulation and arguing the toss with morons and hypocrites.
My passion has faded with each passing year of vested interest interference, press compliance and journalistic spite.
And, yes, VAR has killed my excitement. Thank God we didn't have to wait for it in 2012. A moment that will never be repeated again in football history.
In truth, this has been coming for a while. I will sign off and find a new passion. City are not to blame. I watched football for the fun and passion. I now know more about global politics, financial compliance and sports governance than I do about our own under 18s. Something has gone drastically wrong with the game.
Our own forum has also become raggish and dipperish, misogynistic and trolled by posters who don't even support the club... And then the fans who love certain players rather than the club. Yes I'm old and I won't be missed but I already feel better letting go. Good luck fighting the good but ultimately doomed battle.
Thanks City for the best and worst times of my life but life is too short.
nah, fuck that, now is the time to dig our heels in and stand up to the bastards who would like to see us relegated etc, don't give fuckers the pleasure of thinking they've driven a wedge between us and the club, face whatever punishment they dish out and fight to come back stronger

I went to my first game in 1968, got my first season ticket in 1975/76. I grew up on stories about City from Grandad who saw the King at Hyde Road, the cup finals, Trautmann, Doherty. He loved City, its an institution in our family and a right of passage to take the younger ones.

I gave up my season tickets when Thaksin took over. I was totally against him being our owner and argued night after night on here with people about it, I gave up my Mod position and my visits here became less and less. Giving my tickets up meant I missed the Aguero moment, I couldnt get a Cup Final ticket and I was there home and away through the dark days.

Yes I am getting old too, I have let go as well as I explained, but its City and City draw you back in because its a passion that never dims, a light that never goes out.

The media, the governing bodies, opposing fans, fuck them. My grandad followed City for 70 years and saw us win 2 titles, we have won 4 of the last 5 and other trophies to boot. They cannot take away those moments we experienced, they will never live the Aguero or 100 point moment.

You are correct about this forum too, to a degree. There has always been WUMs though and opposing fans, like you I hate the misogyny but being here nigh on 20 years I laugh at the trolls as they sad bedwetting fuckwits with no life apart from a drenched wank sock when they get a bite.

City never leaves you though pal, as much as you try, they are there because you have invested so much into the club. Remember as well, its our club, we are the club, without us the club is nothing. So hold your head up high, fuck the haters, be proud to be Blue and you will always be CTID.

Nope. I’m in Lanzarote and both the wife and I have been wearing our City tops as usual when we’re out and about.
Don’t let the buggers win.
Innocent until proven guilty!

Don't do it mate. Don't let these jealous bastards kill your joy.

If one of us chucks the towel in, just one, then they have won, job done and that is exactly what they want.

I used to watch sky sports news, listen to phone ins and the radio in general, read papers but all that has turned bitter. I turned sky sports news on for a minute today, maybe not even that, and that was enough.

I don't do half the things i like in what i call my football routine anymore and i feel better for it.

If i don't go to a game i turn on the tv as we kick off, mute it half the time, it's simple, i feel better for it.

Honestly mate don't do it, i know this place is infiltrated with rags and scouse tramps, just put people on ignore, easy.

Take a breather from things for a couple of weeks, you'll feel better for it but if you let them get to you it feels like they've got to all of us.

Fuck them. We don't need anyone else, we don't need any help or any paid joutlrnalist shills.

If we get relegated to league 2 i'll still turn up because i love city and they are in my blood.

Keep fighting the fight brother.
I agree, I just do bluemoon, Esteemed Kompany podcast and City matches in the most part

I think a small nominal fee (say £5 per season) should be charged for having the privilege to post in a thread on the forum, that would get rid of most of the WUM’s and make this place much more enjoyable
