ADUG might have - to all intents and purposes - bottomless pockets, but they are businessmen first and foremost, and highly unlikely to want to be screwed over. The wealth should be a strength in the negotiation process, not a weakness for other clubs to prey upon.

Im glad you see where Im coming from.
There is no reason for us to continue paying daft money, and anyway it will be easier to attract the likes of Villa, Podolski etc if we have already bought some names.
Let clubs wipe our eye this transfer window and then we will be safe and then we can build properly.
Bellamy - £20 mil
RSC - £25 mil
Parker - £25 mil (although West Ham will probably accept £20)
Given - £15 mil
Get those top drawer players in - write off the £85 mil and then build

Didn't top 4 team Liverpool sign Bellamy for Liverpool and top 4 team Chelsea sign Parker?
Personally I think there are better options out there but as Hughes is the one with his job at stake, he should at least be allowed to make his own decisions.
