I fucking hate "win percentages" and I really fucking hate "pass completions".

Another weird current trend amongst nu-internet-football-fans.

Next time someone puts some stupid, contextless stat up to prove that Mancini is actually the best manager in the world, I'm going to collate a "pounds spent per point" table up to "prove" he's actually the worst manager in the world.

Just glancing at the site and thought I'd come out of retirement to show you this:

<a class="postlink" href="http://transferpriceindex.com/2012/07/the-201112-update-to-the-all-time-best-managers-versus-the-mxir-model/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://transferpriceindex.com/2012/07/t ... xir-model/</a>

People actually do bother researching these things, and on the basis of money spent:points earned when equalised for inflation, Mancini is the third best manager in Premier League history. Funnily enough, above Mourinho.

Those stats only contribute data from last season so with this season's performance I imagine that he's slipped to fourth but just thought I'd log in and counter a badly made point.

Off I go back into the ether...

Interesting stats, cheers Damo

To see the way some City fans disrespect Mancini saddens me.

Fair enough if you don't think he's the man for the job or that he's taken us as far as he can but slagging him off is bang out of order.

That is all.
I agree, I appreciate what he's helped us achieve but I don't appreciate him ridiculing history of our club to further enhance his achievements. Insults work both ways.

Don't blame it on my tactics
Don't blame it on my man management
Don't blame it on 3-5-2
Blame it on Marwood.

Give it a rest, you're a bore
Pick a flaw with any of my posts on these last 10 pages. I will look forward to countering.

Answer this with a clear head please. Tell me what is different here to his time at inter?

History is repeating itself, it always does.

Jose may not be our replacement but one thing is for sure, Mancini has hit the wall but the marathon ain't finished yet. Lescott upfront, 3-5-2, public condemnation of players and colleagues, conceding a title by Feb basically, crashing out last in CL group behind a team costing less than Sinclair. I could go on and on and it paid me to type it because even though I'm making a point I'm knocking my club and that's not my intention. Mancini is fucking fortunate to have us fans who've been used to served tripe, he fortunate to follow on from Hughes, he's fortunate to have great backers.

It's clear, Mancini really isn't the man for the future. He said he has plans after us and this Ferguson esque dynasty some want wont happen with him and that's from his own mouth. Let's cut the time span down and move on now. Why delay the inevitable?

One man's bore is another man's disappointed fan.

Alright, then, here's my haiku:

Scarf flutters in breeze
Rain seeps into the soil
Eagle files southward

I'm tripe at Poetry, I spent my youth staring at Mrs Kilburns fantastic set of tits yet still escaped with a B in GCSE.

Anyway here's something for you.

Scarf glitters in breeze
Wonder who next to blame
I know Marwood

5-7-5, please (it's a killer formation!).

Just so you all know, it was the Marwood, in the Conservatory, with the Lead Pipe...

ah not to clued up on this net thing, any chance of just letting me know that in the time we bought Silva, YaYa, Aqureo, Milner, Ballotelli, Dzeko, Kolorov, how much the others have spent on players, well if you not got the time just Qpr as really we are saying about money not bringing success

The season before we spent £116m nett, Liverpool £5.15 profit, QPR £1.5m (championship), Chelsea £87.3m, Rags £13.5m.

You could also go back further to Kompany, De Jong, Lescott etc.

cheers mate

I wish Damocles would post more on this thread.
If you done some research and watched more football, maybe some effort too then you wouldn't need Skashion, Damocles and Bob K to make points for you. - This. ;)
I havnt the time mate
And they do a far better job
It use to be good seeing him dismantle the haters post one by one with ease.

Strongly believe this season could be one of those "One step back to take two steps forward" seasons. (in relation to the league and Europe)

Here's hoping anyway.

My exact thoughts mate.. we won by a margin then we lost by too much, next we will romp it and rip those red coonts another asshole.

Next season, we will have the same extra motivation that they had this season.

You're just as bad as a tabloid hack if you can't put what he said into the context he meant it.

I like this game

To the tune of "Amore"

When you're rivals pull clear
And excuses you hear
That's Roberto

When your team loses games
And you're looking for blame
Not Roberto

When the team's heads are down
On the bench with a frown
That's Roberto

When you give up your cup
And you're asking "What's up"?
Not Roberto

stats again I'm not saying he is better but how much has Klopp spent ? just saying stats mean nothing alot of time

Football is played out on the pitch, before your eyes and not on some spreadsheet.

Prime example being fucking Dzeko on Sunday!

I fucking hate "win percentages" and I really fucking hate "pass completions".

There you go again Dave.. the king of invention.

Oh, dear...thanks, Dave.
