Why we are misfiring...

I don't think anyone in the premier league is firing on all cylinders yet...funny season...I think Sunday will be tight but we have enough to see them off.

Perhaps it is all down to the Euro's and players not having a proper pre season combined with all the unessential International friendlies. Who knows but I wish we hadn't signed anyone in the summer, but on the flip side not sold anyone either, essentially just kept the same squad as last season. We have made some odd signings? Yes/No?

I think the main factor (and which has been mentioned here a couple of times) is the way teams set up against us and they have generally done this since WBA away last season.

One other reason is Tempo. We are not starting games like we used to and we tend to pick it up after half-time or after we've conceded, like we did against Everton.

The 3rd is the form of Yaya, when he's interested we're unplayable when he isn't it's like we have ten men. I think the ACON will do him and us good. I'd like to Nasri played through the middle with Barry and Milner behind him whilst Yaya is away.

IMO it has nothing to do with losing AJ or DeJong. I loved Nige but he'll be a distant memory once Garcia has settled in (which he will do).

I think Tevez being back is not allowing each striker enough time to get in the groove. Also his playing style when in possession is less incisive and direct than the players we relied on last season.

Don't get me wrong I think he's a fantastic player but I'm surprised he doesn't get the accusations of Nasri and Edin about being wrong for our style. I also don't think him and aguero pair up as well as claimed.

Of course there's more than all this - the opposition knowing how to handle us and yaya being woefully off form - but I think it's underestimated how big a difference the need to accommodate 4 strikers is.
