Why we will win the league!

Yesterday was a choker, but today is another day and it’s still in our hands - and as long as the players display discernibly more backbone than a slice of our support then I still think, on the balance of probabilities, we’ll do it.

We are a truly great team, replete with winners. That should get us over the line. If not, it will still have been a very good season, assuming we win another trophy out of the two that remain.

Anyone who thinks otherwise, has lost all sense of perspective.

We'll win the league v Leicester. I have this feeling we'll be 3 points in front when we go to Brighton but have a greater goal difference. When the fixtures came out I just had this weird feel of our last home game being the clincher.
Can't wait.

A lot of bed wetting on here the last 24 hours, it’s in City’s hands not Liverpool’s. Keep winning and the games start to run out which I believe the belief will start to wilt away in Merseyside.

As it stands at the moment we only have to play one more game than them till the end of the league campaign and maybe 2 more depending what happens in the champions league. They are playing like their life depends on it whilst we are playing at pedestrian friendly pace conserving energy for what lies ahead.

A tight title race where City's destiny is in their own hands. What's not to like? Much as last season's dominance was fabulous, seasons like this are what it's all about. City have won the league cup, are in prime position to win the league title, in the FA Cup semis and the CL quarters. Liverpool being lucky yesterday is a meh moment, annoying but not altering the central point that everything is down to what City do, not what someone else does.

It's marvellous, the whole thing. No complaints about Liverpool fluking a win yesterday, it's all part of the tapestry. Onwards to Cardiff, win that and throw it back to them.

Best way to look at it is win next two games (which are very winnable) and we’re in a cup final at end of season with only 6 league games left

From here on in we need to start like against Fulham and blow teams away in first half then manage out the game

Don't forget that Liverpool will likely have a semi final tie vs Barca or United to worry about.

It's not just us who will have cup games to worry about.

IMO Liverpool will destroy Cardiff,Huddersfield,Newcastle(Benitez) and wolves(focus will be on da cup final vs us plus Connor coady is Liverpool through and trough) in last 4 games of season so whatever they drop vs Southampton away or Chelsea home will be only points drops. I think they will draw 1 game winning the rest. Leaving us to win 6 lose 1 which I would take now if offered. Cardiff win Brighton win Leicester win Burnley win Crystal Palace win them win 1 of Tottenham and man united. Just my theory and I know all games are hard but I’ll predict we win league now on goal difference both 95 points each. Your views blues ?

I understand celebrating last minute winners, but Liverpool can't keep up that sort of intensity for another 6 games. Despite the cliche, you can't treat every game like a cup final. It's what happened the last time they were anywhere near it, and honestly think they'll come unstuck due to it this time.

And IF we don't win it then we have to take it on the chin and try to ensure we win it next season. I don't want Liverpool to win it because I want us to win it but all this talk about it being insufferable if they do is nonsense. Winning it every year or choosing who wins it if we don't aren't options, unfortunately.

Exactly, anyone would think we've got 30 games more to play than Liverpool
