Why we will win the league!

It is down to the hone game with the Bus Wreckers.

Not overly.worried about that, expect a draw at the least.

Wolves and West ham worry me more, though we should win both easily they are the types of teams that will frustrate us.

We scraped past Everton and Arsenal

The simple reality is Pool have better strikers and don't need 20 shots at goal to score and play at a much higher tempo.

The game in April against them will be decisive and without Dias I fear the worst, we know our centre backs can be caught out, Pool strikers will convert these

Finally I t think teams play against City differently than they do against Liverpool

Ultimately we will lose this because we don't have a recognised striker

Still think we'll do it but no room for any mistakes from here on in, Liverpool won't drop many ( if any) points apart from the game against us

We had an 8-12 point gap, but never had one tbf, liverpool had 4 games in hand at one point and were always too good a team not to points from them.
I don't think that's correct mate. Didn't we at one point have a 8 point lead even accounting for their games in hand? I think we did.

Thank you mate for posting a bit of common sense and mild optimism amid an avalanche of knicker wetting flappery

We’re the favourites and rightly so. They would love to be one point clear and due to play us at Anfield. 9 games to go and City are top of the league - you couldn’t ask for anymore than that
don't get some fans were in a great position with 9 games to go all the other team would swap with us

For me that's rubbish. Easy to highlight the odd game (not saying I dont agree he messed up in certain games) but look at the big games he's won with his in game tactics as you put it.

In our current situation and squad, would you swap pep for any other manager?
I have said on many occasions serious question marks hang over Peps record in Europe since he left Barcelona. You might say it is bad luck in a very difficult competition but you might on the other hand say it is down to poor decision making.

Alternatively his league record has been sensational both here and in Germany and that of course includes many big game victories. You don't have to be a footballing Guru to conclude that the lack of a replacement for Kun would hurt us this season. Some people reached the conclusion it would be more important than others and that continues to be the case. While the squandering of a relatively big lead is of serious concern, in many respects the season starts now.

We are still in all the major competitions and are far from resembling a team in freefall, but rather more a side which may have something left in the tank. It's all down to April and May now and the pendulum may just swing back in our favour.
Keep the faith it was hard won.

Someone please go find out what’s the longest winning run scousers have gone on in the Premier League … not unbeaten run, not an Anfield run but one that includes back to back to back wins only … and then figure out how many league games on the trot (including current run) they need to win to win this title?

Then calm down … we’re winning this league, not them!

I still believe but I agree that Liverpool have more clinical/efficient forward players. They're the same as us in that they have zero strikers but with the exception of Mahrez, I just think they're more clinical.

Liverpool have had one game where they haven't scored, we've had four.

I fancy us to beat them at home, but I believe we may struggle at Wolves/West Ham with low blocks.

9 games, 27 pts, all to play for, scousers due a blip. You WIN prem title over a season and do not get them handed to you on a plate like other league titles......WHEN we win this one I will enjoy it even more as the scousers will have had that "hope" building over the last weeks and we all know its the hope that kills you! KEEP THE FAITH BLUES!

To try to put a positive spin on this, the teams we've recently dropped points against are the teams we dropped points to earlier in the year - Spurs, Palace and Southampton.

The remaining teams we have left, we have already beaten this season, apart from Liverpool in which we drew. Repeat that record in the remaining games and no matter what Liverpool do we will be Champions.

There are some tough games in the run in, but if can beat Liverpool at home that gives us room for error again so takes the pressure off slightly.

Both teams have some tough games left so we just need to hold tight and knock off the games 1 by 1. Keep the faith, this team has proved it before.

It was never done and dusted but Blues posting that we have lost the title now need to remind themselves of this too. It works both ways.

There are no guarantees either way but don’t give up on your team at the first sign of a challenge….particularly this team. Have some faith.

Of all the different types of posters the only one that gets on my nerves are the ones desperate to say “I told you City wouldn’t win” There isn’t a prize for being correct and those saying it won’t feel any better If it happens.

I thought there was only a small chance we would be caught because Liverpool would have to be near faultless but they have been so far. Doesn’t make us bottlers. City and Liverpool are 1 and 2 in the World. If we don’t make it it’s not a disgrace but we are a point ahead with 9 games left and still fighting.

There must be a prize for never criticising though.

Seen a few comments online and in the media saying Liverpool are favorites now. I find it hard to agree with the game against them coming up so soon. If either win they will be clear favorite, and if its a draw i think it gives us abit of momentum ahead of them based on them knowing they had to win.

This group of City players have gone on great runs to win titles. So while we are still top I will back them to get the job done, the 1 point advantage could be so important regardless of what the lead was.

The build up to the Liverpool game will be horrible though, not just the tension but we will have the whole media against us.
